Great information and stories! Every club has it's own vibe and can change just because of the customers. On of the best kept secrets it's many have fantastic food at a very reasonable price. Several times I stopped by for lunch and ended up closing the place! If the ladies are having fun then normally the guys are. I love the scenery, the music, the lights and being able to flirt like crazy without any commitments of any kind. Good for the dancers and good for the customers.

You have an awesome insight. My son's mother (R.I.P) was a stripper for a few years when he was a child. I remember some of the stories and scares that she had working there. I actually bought her a small pistol after someone tried to get into her car at a stoplight. She would tell me stories of some of the nicest men she met and some of the worst people you could meet. As I get older, I realize that this thing called life is a never ending stream of meeting strangers. Some of them become friends and loves, and some of them become warnings. As an older guy (65) I find that dancers usually pay more attention to older guys. One reason is that typically older guys have more resources to play with i.e. we got more money. I usually tip $5's. Also, older guys usually don't think that they are going to "get lucky" with a stripper. Young, immature guys think "Oh yeah, she wants me!!" LOL! Lastly, older guys aren't going to become obsessed with a particular dancer. And older guys are comfortable in their own skin. At least, this has been my experience.

I too was an apprentice Ironworker (Local #167) in the early 1980's, and after a particularly upsetting breakup with a close girlfriend, my classmates took me to a local strip club called Tiffany's. Naturally, I immediately fell for one of the younger dancers (I was only 24 myself) and I spent a good chunk of many paychecks on her over the next few months. Looking back, it was the best psychotherapy I could have spent the money on, and helped me move on to another girlfriend that I eventually married.

Nice observations. I'm an older man now (67), but when I was younger, I never thought of myself as handsome. I spent a lot of time in strip clubs. I've always been interested in people. Other men in the clubs would ask me why so many dancers would spend so much time with me when I wasn't spending more than they were. The secret is that I would ask the dancers questions about themselves. Some dancers weren't interested in that, they were only interested in making money and partying, but those weren't the women I was interested in. I quickly developed a rapport with many dancers, and they would consider me a person they could take a break with, just to mentally recuperate. I would usually offer to buy them a drink, but that wasn't why they came over to talk to me. My success with women outside of strip clubs I attributed mostly to my ability to make women laugh. I still have friends today who I met as dancers in strip clubs many years ago. Your story about once-in-a-lifetime opportunities is something I heard many times from many dancers. I only know one woman who went for it, and she was back dancing a month later.

I'm an old man now, but I don't frequent strip clubs and have only been to three when I was younger (once in my early 20s and twice in my early 30s). I remember the first and only lap dance I had. More specifically, I remember the conversation that I had during the lap dance. We talked about her job, her boyfriend, art that she liked, she asked me a number of questions etc etc. Basically, a respectful and easy conversation. I am 56 and in the best shape of my life. I take off my shirt at the beach, and I can see women surreptitiously taking my picture and giggling. Men often don't finish burning off literal baby fat until they are 50. That's why you see a lot of older in shape men with paper thin skin. At the age of 50, I was teaching high school freshmen. During the month of February, 4 girls asked me to be their Valentine. (3 of them were actually pretty) One of them gave me a paper flower she made in Art Class. A 5th girl called me, "My sexy-@$$ teacher", told me that she liked me, and said she wanted to go on a date with me. I'm not sure if they were all just joking, but it was actually congruent with something I once read - that as long as a man has authority, he doesn't need to be good-looking - to attract females.

I was the boss of a good many high school girls at my first job, and even though I was only 1-3 years their senior, they like that authority all right. You have some pretty good stories there, but if I had to sum up the girls, I would say for those that showed any interest, on the whole they REALLY showed interest. You know, like leaning their breast into your body, or running their hands all over you. Coincidentally enough, one of them, one of my worst handy girls, was supposedly a stripper while in high school. If she wasn't, she sure seemed the type. My worst case was a girl that closed with me for only one night, as I was supposed to give her a refresher course. Oh boy, did she want to freshen up! I would say she had to be in the top 5 of looks I've seen in my whole life, even in that lousy uniform. What was her trick? You know, sometimes I think girls make a pact with the devil or something, and none of their tricks work, so the next girl in line tries a new trick, but she pulled one surely from the depths of hell. Consider, for example, my senior year in high school, one of the cheerleaders sat behind me and first day started groping my shoulders, neck and arms. Weird huh? I was so damn puzzled, what the hell brought that on (emphasis on hell)? To this day I'm not sure. She seemed to do it at first to make a football player that sat to our right jealous, but he and I talked about it, and then accused her of it, and as far as I recall, never admitted she did it for that reason, but we all laughed our heads off about it (I actually saw her taunting him once when she was doing it🤣). She kept that crap up ALL YEAR anyway, and the teacher completely ignored it. She was a pretty nice girl, and we got to talking but she never seemed like she wanted me as a BF really. So prepare yourself, like I said, this will get worse, when, the one-night girl story will unfold below.... Yes, a cheerleader groping me all year, what could be worse? Why of course, doing the opposite, but instead, always, and I mean always, she was standing literally one inch from me at all times, but never touched me. At first, I thought it was just the latina way, but I never met a latina, and I had known a few, that ever did anything like that, even if they may be more outward. But as the night dragged on, she wasn't letting up and I had to pray through two severe temptations I had, to jump her bones in some way. I finally started facing reality, she wanted it, and she wanted it BAD. One of the things that aided me not giving in, was the fact I was told she had a fiancé in the army overseas and no way I want to mess with somebody else's girl. When we closed, we were entirely alone, and there she was an inch away like always, and then I thought of a diversion to keep us both busy beyond what we had to normally do. Hilariously, this resulted in the cops coming by, while we hid underneath some tables (place was locked up) and still laying on the floor, she was still an inch away. Wow, that's dedication🤣. She was a good worker, but in more ways than one. I'll tell you, even to this day I've never met a temptation so bad than that standing that close and not touching; it's really wicked. I had to literally back away from her before I moved, for fear I would knock her down. I just never thought of asking her to back away, I guess because I just thought it was a latina thing for quite a while, and when it obviously wasn't, well I let it go on for too long to stop it, in a sense. I'm just glad she was there for only one night, because I certainly couldn't let that continue. This was so strange and completely out of the blue, I have to wonder if somebody hated my guts and this was all a setup to fire me. This is doubly so when you consider our franchise for the most part frowned on the opposite sexes closing together (getting out around midnight or even as late as 3AM). I sure wouldn't have minded closing with my GF, but she never closed anyway and did shorter part-time stints.

I'm a 50ish man that manages a non-profit, and my grandfather had five daughters that are younger than me by five or more years. This ex-stripper is a pragmatic realist and she has the age issues between the sexes down to a science. In America women, in general, think older men should marry and or date women that are older and not younger women. What should a man in his 50s do when he wants more children? This is a rhetorical question. It is my understanding that men should be older than his wife. There are some younger women that like and look for the stability and "Down-To-Earthness" of an older man.

I haven't been to a strip club in maybe 15 years (I am now 65) and when I did go to the clubs - yes I enjoyed the sexuality / sensuality of the environment because I was freshly divorced - but the thing I enjoyed most was talking to the women who worked there. I have a high regard for how brave and courageous you ladies are to do what you do. I know there are tons of stories of women who are addicted or broken in some way and strip to get by and I get that. But I know first hand that there are an equal number of women who take pride in being a professional and do extremely well for themselves in that industry and I have a huge amount of admiration for them. As an old dude who would NEVER proposition a stripper, or anyone else, with a "Once in a lifetime opportunity" (gimme a break !) - I appreciate you and think that you all perform a valuable service for lonely men both married and single. Interesting stories and well told. Kudos to your husband, and hope you both are still happy and healthy. It's interesting how society sometimes view people, things, etc. Age differences, what you do for a living, where you come from. I never thought anymore or any less of the girls I met in strip clubs, in the club they dealt their hand of the game they played. I myself didn't make silly conversation asking silly questions, I let the conversation flow and be as normal as possible. Of course you realize where you're at, and the girls need to make money. House cover, time talking to a customer, how many dances they need to have in certain areas. I never took it seriously, had fun in and outside of the clubs with acquaintances from the clubs, and let it happen with the attractions that humans have for one another at certain moments. You can't really look for a lot in these places, but can certainly find almost every kind. We all know crazy things happen, but some of the offers to some of the girls are in another stratosphere. Remember, and I believe me, age is a number. Keep your mind and body active, positive thoughts in the most challenging times, and make someone smile and laugh.

She might be married if not she probably has a boyfriend or 2 she lives with or just has a lot a boyfriends. If you meet her in the club. The chance of her dating you for anything other than money (no future) are probably zero. That makes you a lucky guy. There are so many things people can do for employment now. She's got options. If you date a stripper She is gonna want you to treat here Like a sunday school girl. And that's how she'll act because she'll have her stripper life. You won't be a part of. Where everybody treats Her like a stripper. And where she is. She's never gonna be the sexy slut for you. Maybe once. She's gonna be out there doing it every night for strangers. Well you talked to them enough to be in 3 relationships. So thats not the issue. Get a therapist. They will help you figure out why you attracted them. Because you were the main character in all 3 relationships. Not blaming you but it's unconscious why you attract cheaters. Also if you tell someone don't do this to me bc I had it done in the past- that is exactly what they will do. I don't know why but it's true. Keep past relationships zipped up tight. We grew apart is all they need to know. Bc as soon as you tell them, they will start looking for those things. Don't do it. It shouldn't take that long to figure out. Any therapist who wants to milk you for years toss em. Also look up childhood ptsd fairy on here. Lots of great advice.

I remember running into strip clubs first years ago at a marine base on the east coast. It was usually good for kicks. You could visit 3 or 4 clubs on the same street sometimes. The girls at that time would be making money hand over fist while the bar poured out beer. All I remember was it was like having a psychedelic light trip by the end of the night. It became an occasional opportunity through my single years. Surprisingly relaxing for some reason although never very deep.
