I got a question how often you got to change the teeth on the bucket 🤔
@norwegianearthmovers2 жыл бұрын
Hi!🙋♂️ Well, how often we change the teeth, depends on the rock and the type of teeth. The teeth on this bucket is quite massive, so they would last about 6 weeks at this project.🙂 6 weeks is about 450 hours with our shift plan. The teeth I had on my 4 tooth bucket was quite slimmer, as they were made for better penetration of the rock! They tended to last 2-3 weeks!🙃 Thanks for your curiosity!🙏

just wondering how many teeth you get through in a week on that material...?
@norwegianearthmovers3 жыл бұрын
Hi!🙋♂️ Well, these teeth on this 5 tooth bucket are quite large and thick, so they last pretty long.😅 I don’t have the exact number of hours that they last, but the past set of teeth lasted about 3 shifts. So I had them changed and worked with them for two weeks on my shift, my partner used them for two weeks during his shift, and then I used them for almost two more weeks again.😄 I don’t like these teeth though, they turn into “boxing gloves” pretty fast, and makes the task of filling the bucket very hard as they don’t penetrate the rock that well..🥵😄 Have you seen any of my videos with the 4 teeth bucket? Or the comparison video I made between these to buckets? The teeth on that bucket are thinner and much sharper, and helps with a lot better penetration of the rock!😋 Those teeth holds about 150 hours, about one shift. But it’s much better to change them often, as my job gets so much easier at the same time as the production goes well up!😊 Thanks for your curiosity, hope my answer clarified your question!🙏
@mrbluesky20503 жыл бұрын
@@norwegianearthmovers thanks for the answers, have seen the aggressive four tooth bucket with the wedge profile, it does seem to penatrate better.

@@mrbluesky2050 you are welcome!🙏 Hehe, so nice that you have seen it, easier to discuss the difference when I know that you are aware of the options!🙂 Yes, I agree with you, and that’s why I have been trying to get rid of this 5 tooth bucket ever since I got it.😅 I had the first rebuilt bucket with 4 teeth in December last year, and worked with that until May this year. It was so worn after 6 months in hard rock, that it needed to be reinforced, so I got this 5 tooth bucket as a replacement. I didn’t know how it would perform though, as I loaded limestone with it earlier. The 5 tooth bucket was awesome in limestone, allowing me to 4 pass load the 772’s!🤩 I never thought that it would be so hard to work with it in this blasted granite..🙈🤪 So, we have at least been able to test the difference really well now, and the conclusion is that we need another setup than the original cat buckets as standard!🙃 I am finally rid of the bucket now though, so videos with the 4 tooth bucket is coming up soon!👌

@norwegianearthmovers2 жыл бұрын
The dozer is waiting for rock from me, so it would be too much travel for him to go back and forth between his location and mine.🙃 I was also loading to the bottom of the cut, so it would be very hard for the dozer to make a broker surface, due to hi variations in height of the bedrock. So it is far more efficient as we do here, that I do the grading myself.🙃 The trucks are just following my orders, I communicate through my radio where I want them, as I change my plan of progress into the pile!😊
@louisbarbisan26082 жыл бұрын
@@norwegianearthmovers Trucks waiting. You have two trucks station to load, so, why spending your time to clean up? The dozer can clean up one while you're busy to load the other truck. It seams to me that the value of time you spent waiting with a loaded bucket 🪣 is production tonnage waisted. BTW, I see a small wall you make where the truck pad is, but then you fill the bkt right next to it, by doing so, you're moving that wall toward the truck tire. Why? Why not remove mat away from it, that way, your truck pad will be clean. But, like the way you load your bucket and the sound of everything.
