Very cool. Proud to have played even a small part in this project, keen to see it transition to forward flight!

Some dampeners on those rear wheels would be good. It hit the ground with a bit of force there, don't need them snapping off now.

Congratulations. Those chasis oscillations during the transition to flight are *interesting* . I guess you just transition thru that regime ASAP for now ? Hey for a first flight that was superb !

Vertical take off, and it looks like it can fly like a regular plane. Could be safer than current VTOL aircraft like the osprey. I can think of a few say search and rescue in remote areas or even fire response where this could be useful

@@Nomad47 This is a drone. It isn't carrying people, so safety isn't the issue. Clearly a lot of money has been invested into this, so there must be an actual use-case for it, I just don't know what it is.

@@sraldleif it can carry up to 200kg, fly up to 1,500km. It’s a loyal wingman for helicopters and can be fitted with a dipping sonar. Max speed 200knts and folds up into a 20ft container.

Impressive. But why did you took for the first flight from such a dusty place?
