It's not how fast he'll catch you, and it certainly isn't halved if you're driving half as fast as him. Since the vid is in real time without any cuts, you can see it takes Verstappen 36 seconds to catch Stroll from the point Stroll's engineer gives him the 20 second call.

It’s a qualifying or practice session. Max was trying to do a fast lap while Stroll was going slowly around the track not doing a fast lap to save his tires. He should have moved in favor of Max and because of sportsmanship- when Max arrived tho he was in the middle of the track blocking Max‘s Racing line

Stroll has improved PACE-wise this season massively, but his awareness is still very bad and it seems like he feels entitled still to this day compared to monaco 2018 I think when he said 'what's the point let's go home'

PACE-wise he improved because of the car, not himself. Pink Mercedes + all innovations from factory go to his car. Too bad they can't even test them properly on the track, because each time he has new aero he goes into wall or something.

This was actually one more example of Lance not using the mirrors, his signature flaw. Not sure why he didnt listen to the engineer, but except from the mirror usage he is not among the worst drivers. Albon, Latifi, Schumacher, Mazepin, Kmag - all are worse, and Albon and Kmag has proven to not improve. In that company Lance is the one with the brightest future, a tiny hope. Remember how bad Grosjean was but he is a quite skilled driver today, never give up hope.

And that's just the ones that went public. That's a person that has been driving the same car for 2 years. Mispressing a button and not knowing what they are, is two different things.
