Awwwwww you didn't walk to the beach. If you go back in the evening you'll see a beautiful sunset across the lake. I totally missed the mural at Starbucks, I'll check it out on my next visit👍

Great review! Do you find there are enough things to do in the city to spend almost a day?
@RoamingMichiganTogether4 ай бұрын
@@alanzemsky7695 Maybe half a day. Unless you hang out at the beach then get something to eat at one of the restaurants.

lets just say, if you stayed for 4 days, you'd be able to try a different ice cream shop each day, and never leave New Buffalo (15 minutes in either way and you'll get another 10 lol I would definitely break the day up with beach though!

Are there other towns nearby that have other things to see?
@RoamingMichiganTogether4 ай бұрын
@@alanzemsky7695 You can go to St. Joseph you walk the break wall to the lighthouse then head north to South Haven Or Saugatuck. Saugatuck has Chain ferry that takes you across the Kalamazoo River over to Mount Baldhead which is pretty cool to see. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

yes! New Buffalo is only one town within Harbor Country, which is this region of SW Michigan, which includes.. Three Oaks (Incredible could spend a day here) New Buffalo (I spend all summer here and it never gets old) Sawyer (Greenbush is so yummy, and the garden center is so fun to explore, Sideyard for drinks, and Susans for incredible dinner) I mean.. there are about 5 other small towns that make up Harbor country, and all within 10-15 minutes of eachother. easy to spend a packed week here, and you won't see everything.

@@RoamingMichiganTogether southhaven and Saug are lovely, but as far from New Buffalo as Chicago is, there are many towns closer! Indiana dunes, Warren Dunes, Galien River Kayaking, Pinhook Bog (this one is soo so cool!) So many things close by :)

@@FabCult Thanks for all the info. We will have to head back to New Buffalo next season and explore the area more closely. Definitely seems to be a lot more to do. Have a great and adventurous day.

@@RoamingMichiganTogether yes! definitely come back! Fall and spring are also great times to visit, as places are still open, but its not crowded at all! it can get a bit chaotic in the summer and you may miss things
