I was shocked that you didn't already knew this song. Because I'm from Germany and in Europe this Song was 2009/2010 very popular. It was Stromae's debut single and 2-10 weeks Number one in Europe Charts... So, its so unbelievable for me that in the united states it wasn't that popular. I'm being honest, First in the year 2010 i hated this Song a little because I was Young and dumb and didn't get it, and when a song is playing so often in the Radio its very repetetive. But now i Love all of Stromae's music and i think he is a genius. And this song doesnt get old. The issue in this song doesnt get old. I Liked it very much to see and hear this song again and the reaction of someone who didn't already knew it. Thank you so much!

As you say, Stromae is always one step further. Definetely he's not a singer who talks about shaking asses. I believe that he is pointing out our miserables lifes and how we've been programmed to obey the rules and perpetuate the system: accept this awful job, earn just enough to live, have a credit, pay your debts, get maried, have kids, be tired, be stressed... but hey! then we can dance, we forget about everything and we start again (so idiotic if you think about it). Instead of changing things, being trully happy and living meaningful lifes, we are like sheeps that accept our fate. We sell our lifes just for some small pleasures that we need to pay so the cycle is closed. We accept that having a couple of drinks is our escape way, but why not trying to live a life that does not require any escape way in the first place?

yeah 100% and a lot of people are just okay with it, and live like its the norm. but if everyone realized that life was soo much more than that, i feel there would be so many more opportunities for everything and anything to happen, but most people are okay with being stuck in a cycle and repeat the same day over and over! lovee this comment!! thank you for this!! much love!!

this song's style is belgian house music/eurodance. And Stromae is Belgium's pride , we have two kings, Philip and Stromae

Talking about different layers, yes... Everyone needs some escaping from reality, and even with good party, the next day you're drawn back into the hard reality, no escaping what so ever... 😁.

Stromae is truly an incredible artist! I think you have discovered his greatest hits, but I also recommend "Ta fête" (which is very catchy). Word for word, "ta fête" means "your party" but in French, we say "on va te faire ta fête" ("we're going to do your party") to express the fact that we are going to knock you out, that we are going to smash you. Otherwise, there is also "Moules frites" which would be interesting. There is no clip but I would like to see if you could understand the lyrics, and especially to interpret them correctly

thats a very interesting phrase tbh, ive never heard of it like that!! but im def gonna try and dive into basically all of stromae's work!! so hopefully soon!! and that sounds like a challenge haha, im interested!! ill def check out both of these for sure!!

Yes this means « then we dance » And when in french you pronounce the word « alors » , it is as if you were saying « alor » without the S. Very good reaction overall, as with the other Stromae reviews you made. Thanks for this. And yes, Stromae is not only about dope beats, there is so much in his lyrics when you pay attention to

Hi. I know this video is not recent, but I see that you like very much this artist. I recommend to you to see one hilarious video with Stromae and a comic artist named Jamel. They did a video where you can see Jamel « helping » Stromae to create this amazing song. I think you’ll like it. Sorry for my english, I’m from France. I hope you’ll enjoy this comic video.

Stromae once got invited for a TED Talk where he literally showed the audience how he made "Alors On Danse". It was a good promotional move, I think. Very entertaining (and probably just an excuse to have a little party, haha :D). Maybe you'd like to react to that video :)

Nice reaction ! You pretty much got all really quick. It's also about the proportion, the equivalence between the worlds and life problems and the music/clubbing abuse. It says that you wil get more and more life/world problems as the time goes by, and the more you are involve the more you got problems... and it's the same for those who try to forget about real life going to clubs, the more you go, the longest you go, the more you get to forget everything by being exhausted and fed up by music. It's infinite and cyclic... et quand y en a plus, et ben y en a encore.
@its_casza33422 жыл бұрын
so i started to realize he was also talking about the people who, like you said, use the partying, and clubs as there lifestyle instead of there vice as well at the very end, when I realized that he was super drained, and everyone around was still partying, that imagery was perfect for explaining that!! but i do really like how you explained it in your comment!! I appreciate all the feedback and support!! much love!!

As we Europeans like to say, Stromae is the biggest star most Americans have never heard of :D He's so incredibly popular and makes the absolute deepest songs with music influences from all over the world. He's a real artist.

Yes, it means "So we dance". There's work, kids, problems... and so to forget for a while, we dance. And "Alors on chante" means "so we sing". Love all your reaction videos to the maestro that is Stromae (his name is "Maestro" reversed, haha).

@@its_casza3342 Manga FGC is right, your reactions are really spot on, I enjoy watching them. He is also right about the Racine Carrée concert in Montreal (which is on the official KZbin channel of Stromae): watching that performance is just epic. I envy you will have the pleasure of seeing it for the first time. Also: apart from Ta Fête and Ave Cesaria you commented on about all the official videos which have subtitles in English. Songs like Bâtard and Te Quiero only have subtitles in the Montreal concert. Another small point: the translation of the songs into the English subtitles is done a bit better in the Montreal concert, so his message gets through more clearly as well. Enjoy and keep up the good work!
