Thecorrosion you found at the led appeared to extend to the power device on a nearby heatsink but I tend to agree that it must have taken out something on the HV side, probably the chopper fet.

Battery was all good in the end! Problem was just with the charger 👍

Market is full with defective Stromer ST1s in Switzerland. Their motor had the electronic controller built in. So only worth replacing battery if you are sure that the Motor will hold up for a while. 😅

Oh that's not good! And they're SO expensive to buy...

Both the BMS and the charger look quite complex. The fuse looks to be on the primary input side of the power supply. Water rust stains on that LED. Dash, you're like a forensic electronics Sherlock Holmes.

Hahahah thankyou! It was a new charger to solve it :)

Hateful, isn't it... Why does the charger need canbus 😭

It's usually just a diode shorted somewhere.

This was a bad charger in the end :)

It's *Darsh* not josh by the way (unusual name I know) but no problem - it was indeed the charger, a new one sorted the issue for the customer which is great news!

Which bms voltage give less problem or need so much repair is there any brand or voltage you can say is more reliable
@EbikeRepairsАй бұрын
Daly BMS 36v is very reliable but that won't work for this battery

Which voltage you have noticed can start shocking fingers 😂 24-72v ? I always see 12v bat from cars spark when reconnecting a new battery and your dealing w higher voltage and but never felt anything of electric shock with car batteries how about this ones from e-bikes they have a lot of cells😅
@EbikeRepairsАй бұрын
Touch voltage with dry skin is 50v, realistically you can get a shock from ANY battery if you have wet skin (9v to the tongue for an example) I was unlucky enough to touch my 32s (144v) pack terminals once, and I made sure to never ever do it again lol

@@EbikeRepairsthe reason I ask is cause you seem to do repairs and I by accident had my e-bike battery taken away from the base to charge it in another home wall outlet . And my arm had sweat well my skin touch the esc / controllers terminals where the battery sits on and I guess the capacitors had charge on them still and it gave me a small shock on my arm skin 😅 I have noticed that even on small phone chargers like old lighting iPhone cables . Well this time it was funny cause I didn’t know the terminals had charge on them ( good thing the battery terminals are not the ones I touch they have more amps and they are deep hard to touch w anything )
