Maybe describe typical uses for knot and why this knot in particular for said applications.

i'm not sure what the purpose of this knot is other than to have an extra turn in a bowline. since there's no explanation and no link to supporting literature, i'm not sure why everyone needs to know this.

I'm pretty sure the double bowline is mostly just used in climbing. More stable than a normal bowline, so better as a life supporting knot. Not really necessary for most other applications

@@DrCowinabox This is not really used in climbing, normal bowline with stopper or retraced bowline on a bight are more common and were considered standard. This double bowline is slightly less likely to jiggle apart so it is good for intermittent loading- still not advisable as a tie in knot for climbing.

@@Luke00722 I use a double bowline w/ a backup knot constantly to build tree anchors using static line. Seems to be pretty standard
