When you takeoff you have to pump it a bit, is that due to the small foil?
@camjrdn6318
@camjrdn6318 Жыл бұрын
It’s like riding a bike where once your going fast enough it all becomes a lot easier, probably with a bigger wing wouldn’t be needed as much but then could be overpowered sometimes

Do you ride a shorter fuse on smaller days?
@camjrdn6318

Pretty much only ride ‘medium’ long adapter short setting or short adapter long setting (very similar)

Awesome ride…what is the size and volume of your prone foil board? What size your front wing and brand? looks awesome…

What do you think about riding even higher aspect foils such as 12 instead of 10? Such as an art pro, would it be easier for you to pump?
@camjrdn6318
@camjrdn6318 Жыл бұрын
Those wings would definitely pump faster and cover loonger distances but would require good techniques and probably less user friendly. I think they would be good in the surf for just gliding around as long as possible and doing drawn out carves. I havent ridden one yet but it might be my next acquisition😁

@@camjrdn6318 what are your thoughts on code S vs lift? They are both quite similar in AR, 9.5 vs 10. So do you feel like its the same kind of wing, just different brand? When you say it may be your new wing, are you waiting for the Code R, which I guess is going to be 12AR?
@camjrdn6318
@camjrdn6318 Жыл бұрын
to me they are same same but different. I have never tried code but everything about them looks really well designed. If there was a deal going I'd probably try get the code R wing, but as I alreadd have the Lift gear, the new wing for myself that I am interested in is the 110haX, I just wish it came in a bigger size@@apricotscrub

how much better does a NL V2 mast pump better than the stock Lift one?
@camjrdn6318
@camjrdn6318 Жыл бұрын
I have have only ever used the Lift mast for one session doing dock starts. It feels about as slippery through the water as the V2 NL but it was fairly flexy which is bad for pumping efficiency (but it was still decent to ride). I havent tried the X2 from Lift, but that is thicker, so probably less efficient and cant comment on stiffness compared to the NL V2. The NL V2 are much lighter than the Lift masts due to hollow construction and minimal design of the aluminium (density of solid alu < density of solid carbon) baseplate

Are you on the 85? Do you use a shorter mast for smaller days? What leg rope?
@camjrdn6318
@camjrdn6318 Жыл бұрын
I think I am on the 78 here but could have been the 85, I used to just use the 85 when it’s big but now it just permanently stays on my prone board and my 78 permanently on my sup dw board. I also think it’s good to not switch mast length all the time and just make the 85 work when it’s small and shallow
