I've come back to this match a few times because that 2003 class is really talented. But here's an update on these players: #10, Wirtz is doing very well at Leverkusen and is with the German U21s now. Wirtz won the Fritz Walter gold medal for the 2003 class. #9, Gedikli has had some minutes now too with Leverkusen. #5, Bright Arrey-Mbi made his Champions League debut for Bayern Munich (happy for his debut but not exactly glowing but he'll get more comfortable over time). Torben Rhein, #8 and the captain of the team, is one of the biggest talents but hasn't played for the first team yet - which makes sense because he's a midfielder for Bayern Munich. He's still captaining this batch of German players at the youth level and the U19 Bayern Munich team, and is the silver medal winner. Lasse Günther of Bayern Munich, #7 is also highly rated as well as #6 Dennis Lütke-Frie of Borussia Dortmund. Off the bench, #13, Armindo Sieb made his debut for Bayern Munich in a Pokal match but unfortunately was injured. Luca Netz of Hertha Berlin was the bronze winner for the fritz walter medal, but wasn't playing in this game - I think he might've actually been with the U17s. These kids are 17 now, and there is so much talent. This group + Youssoufa Moukoko makes for a very bright future for Germany.
