every time he stopped its because he was at a bad stride to take off from. this is rider error-not a bad or difficult horse. If this is your instructor you should go somewhere else. I would never lesson from someone who couldn't even stride properly themselves- especially at large fences. A good rider would of added leg and opened up his stride after the first refusal. Had this horse been lined up properly, had the correct amount of impulsion from the rider, he would of jumped fine. This is the rider preventing the horse to preform properly

lily The jumping cob I'm not so sure. This was a private horse and I've seen the owner jumped him a couple of times and he really tosses his head a lot. Seems really strong and stubborn, owner went away and left horse behind, my instructor took him in and tried to school him but he's really quite unsound. Think they are considering sending him off to retirement..

yeh, hes probably in pain somewhere. my pony had two out of line vertebraes which led to her rearing and flipping over. im getting her re schooled soon. probably whats best for him. if he tosses his head could be his teeth?

lily The jumping cob I've seen this horse jump 1.35m effortlessly... anyway he's going to a new home soon.

I know this video is old but all of this is the riders fault

If the trainer would let go of the horses mouth maybe he wouldn’t do that beautiful jump just not a good rider for the horse
