Always great to reaffirm what I am doing. I had some joint issues so I switched to hangs and still saw growth without any joint pain

I got tendinitis last year around December and threw my progress back badly. I was doing pull-ups and chins on a pull up station and later got weighted. Eventually ran into the issue when doing 45lbs weighted pullups. I never trained my grip which was my failure

I have good size biceps and to be honest I never swing my arms at all my elbows do not come up. Locked tight, inner elbow pinned to my side and back straight, stomach pulled in I curl and squeeze at the top of the contraction. Lots of people do weights and don't engage their core properly and end up with gut or back problems.

the only bicep I do that actually work is the trx one arm curl with a nice 3 second squeeze at the top of the movement and at the start, the rest of the work they get is from pull ups and Aussie rows

So true.My personal experience:years ago I torn my left distal biceps tendon(martial art's incident).But I have still my brechialis,forearms muscles,lats etc.etc.Result:I can do 50 pullups or 50 chin ups or 12 assisted one arm pullup and bicep curls.

Biceps curls are a good way to prevent injurys from heavy rows and pullups

In Muscle Meets Magnet, MRI images show that if one uses a straight bar to do curls, all bicep heads are "fully" activated.

I mostly agree. But with some pulling exercises you really should not include any curling motion. Mainly the deadlift. If you are trying to curl your biceps when puling lets say even as little as 120kg you'll risk a bicep tear, because bicep can't move or handle that kind of weight in any meaningful way. In deadlift you want to have straight, basically locked arms.

A cheap pull up bar that hooks to the top of your door frame is an option.

Been adding in more chin ups I was thinking about only doing chin ups and not pullups lol I will just add them in instead.
