Man, this song...Two years ago, I learned what undertale was. Two years ago, I fell in love with this song. Two years ago, I didn't think I would be sitting here two years later, in the same exact chair, same position, and same clothes as that day, writing this comment. Just . . . This song, more or less, helped in the coping of my depression. I listened to the lyrics thousands of times, letting them just sink in, and realized just how much Sans had to endure, time and time again, each reset, each timeline. And he endured all of this without giving up on Papyrus, always cheering his bro on, always looking out for him, it just . . . made me realize just how easy we all have it, ya know? For Sans, he lived in his own special Hell (Glitchtale, anyone?) And in the true boss battle of the Genocide route, he gives you a sample of his hell. I simply cannot count on my fingers and toes of all the times I almost gave up, and this song pulled me back. I can count on one hand all of the times my family has. This song means more to me than even my own life. But, of course, my friends matter most above all else because what would I do without them. My friends are my earbuds, headphones, and those weird hybrids, ya know, the ones that can't decide if they are earbuds or headphones. Heh, I just wanted to say thank you, DJsmell, for this parody. This, Undertale itself, and Man On The Internet's Undertale The Musical, as corny as it may sound, helped me through a rough patch of my life. +Cybresamurai That's what the fight's about. Sans isn't trying to stop the character, he knows that in the end he can't win. Since they can load ever time they lose, they'll just learn his attack pattern and dodge it all. So instead, he's trying to stop the player. He's not looking to get revenge, he wants everything back to the way it was before. He knows that the player can reset. As a result, all of his dodging and attacks without invincibility frames are meant to piss off the player until they just give up and reset the file.

This is what I would describe as accurate, considering Sans has vision of all timelines, and has near-unlimited energy, has the ability to stop you from becoming invulnerable.... Even if he only does one damage per hit, that's a pretty strong dude LOL

Rather than trying to maximize damage for each hit, Sans lets all of his attacks do a measly 1 damage.... .....because he knows that's not enough to trigger your invulnerability.

+Blondie Loo The way he does that is actually really clever. The few frames of invincibility you get after being hit are called "mercy invincibility". In a genocide run, you never use the Mercy option. So Sans takes away your Mercy, as well.

Well, if we go with Multiverse theory, then every time Chara resets, they're creating a new universe separate from the one they were defeated in, and Sans usually wins a lot before Chara even has a chance. And that's not even considering all the universes where Undyne defeats Chara before then. If you think about it, between the two of them, it's pretty rare for there to be a universe where Chara actually succeed.
