6’2” 190 in H.S., and benched 300 lbs, but found out that was nothing when I bailed hay with a good ol’ boy named ‘Junior’ (about this boy’s size) at one of the many farms I worked on in those days. Junior would toss wet 100 lb bails one handed to the back of the loft like they were chalkboard erasers! One day he backed the tractor up a couple feet short of tandem grain wagons that were full of about 10,000 lbs of corn. Junior got off the tractor, grabbed the tractor hitch with his left hand (baseball glove size) and the tongue of the lead wagon with his right (that no bolt ever resisted) and pulled the 10,000 lb wagons … to the tractor! Yes, they were on wheels, but still … damn! Farming IS ‘compound exercise!’

When he tells you to go home and sleep it off, you go home, and sleep it off.

Facts! However when they’re little I do feel bad for them because people don’t understand that they are taller for their age and expect them to be more mature and it’s not fair even when you tell a person that they’re only for when they look seven they shake their heads and understand But 10 seconds later they forget all over again so it’s gotta be tough growing up with the expectations mentally and emotionally for them.

Been through this my whole life, I'm 22 6'7 and 350lbs. You learn to not play as rough from a young age, everything is so fragile when you're this size
@kathrynck8 ай бұрын
It's not just other people. You have to be careful not to break "things" too. Basically, at that size, every manufactured thing seems like an under-sized flimsy knock-off. You go to open a car door, but you don't notice it's iced shut? Congrats, you're now holding a car door handle without the car door. Lose your temper and slam a door shut behind you? Now you need a new door, possibly a new door frame. Someone passes you the pickle jar to open... something people don't realize, is that once in a while, pickle jars get so tight that the glass is the weakest point, and it'll shatter from twisting before it opens. So you can't go "all out" on the jar, you have to kinda look at how thick the glass is first, so you can make a guess at how hard you can twist it. You fall & hit your head on the tile floor? You'd better have spare tiles in the hall closet, cuz that tile is done. And middle school desks? You don't "get up" from them, you more contort and "disentangle yourself" from them. So it's not the once a month occasion of trying not to use too much force with another human. It's more like an hourly check to make sure you're not breaking 'everything'. But yeah, Biggs could never, ever, play "Mercy".. true enough. And if he defended himself from bullies, authority figures all yelled at _him_ I'm sure. And that's my perspective as a "farm-strong" _girl_ who's about halfway between these 2 fellas in height. I imagine 'Biggs' notices such things a lot more than I do. I've only have a taste of the assorted complications. I actually clear door frames without ducking. I can tell he doesn't, because I barely do (those door return-springs are always grabbing me by the hair).
