What have either you done to warrant such arguments? Yes, he’s speaking with authority and as-if he’s determined the secret to success, but we don’t know his actual character. Maybe, he did laugh at crypto, or maybe he didn’t. Who knows? But neither action discredits his thesis. You can’t posit that his argument is invalid, because he assumes authority, while still leaning on the argument of authority..(I.e. if he did invest in crypto, video games, and what not that would change your perception of his personal success, which again is not what his speech is about). Furthermore, I don’t think his actual claim is that “this single methodology will lead to success”, it’s more “here is this methodology that I’ve found to work a lot of the time for me and most people I’ve observed”. He speaks otherwise, but that’s just general public speaking skills.

@@lisalim453 Nothing too fancy, but I had an idea for a product I wanted to create. However, as I delved deeper into it, I realised I needed to learn electronic engineering, programming, and manufacturing. My end goal was sketched out on a sheet of paper, laid out like a mind-map with concrete, small goals. For example, building a computer that could communicate over RF frequencies, write a program that can communicate over a network, manufacture a PCB, just to name a few. The mind-map in its entirety was overwhelming, but the individual tasks were manageable, even if difficult for me at the time. Each task was broken down into prerequisites, like practicing/learning CAD modeling, building a simple circuit using transistors, experimenting with oscilloscopes, and decoding binary signal information. I think having these small goals helped me feel accomplished, even when I was still years away from realizing or even being able to understand my ultimate goal. At that time, I was still ignorant of many of the skills I would need to learn. Each time I completed one I placed big green tick beside it. I still look at the scrawled out mind-map from time to time. Ultimately, my end goal turned out to be impractical. A good product, but too expensive and not commercially viable to make a living from. However, the things I learned along the way landed me a job. I used the product, along with its various design documents and prototypes, as part of my portfolio. This eventually led to my current position, which I consider my dream job, a leading role in a famous company. I approached it as a self-made curriculum with self-directed study and project work.

@@ComfortKMyou live in a society. Your sole control over the outcomes in your life in a society are very limited. Apply for a job? Gotta have an interview. Gotta get hired. Your control in the outcome ended with your participation in the interview. Want to attend college? Gotta enroll. Gotta be approved. Gotta have a method to pay. Smaller colleges, no big deal. More prestigious colleges are a bit harder. They require bigger pockets and they tend to be far more selective. All of which can be barriers to you from birth. Who you are as a person is even influenced by your environment. You'd be completely different if born and raised in a completely different country. This is what he meant. When you aren't born rich, your sole control in your own life for success is limited to a substantial degree because you're working from within society. Absurdly rich people tend to look down on society. They're so rich they're pretty disconnected from it.

@@over9000optimally Why are we making this about society? The options you have are obviously limited by the society you’re born in. What’s confusing is that the man in the videos is saying to list those options out and execute on them. However, the fellow focused on outside factors has no helpful input and instead criticizes… Why? What are they gaining from the criticism of the man and not the message? If I had to boil it down he’s saying “try things and you’ll make progress.” The response is: “ you were lucky, we can’t try.” That sums it up.

So on.. It really helped me put things into perspective on how I want to envision my life and what I need to do to get there. I wrote this just before venturing into my first business and it’s been 2 years. Now (being 100% honest) I don’t have 100k in my account but I’m making over 150k/annual, I’m married and about to have a child. Life doesn’t go how you expect. yes but you do understand its everyones personal goal, not your CEO to see if you accomplish what you desire. Not his f*cking business nor is it important to get the job done.
@ballistyk9110 ай бұрын
This exercise is a model for Self-Motivation. CEO's in their own realm dont support people that aren't self motivated, very simple concept. People are too stupid or ignorant to understand the line between personal success and the belief that wealth = success. Not everyone has a goal to be a billionaire, but far too many live in a material world, and I truly feel sorry for them. This is why the ideology of Money is the root of Evil; its not the money, its the susceptibility to Greed. You simply can't say that someone is a failure because they aren't swimming in money, very closeted perception. The fact that people hate on wealthy people that truly busted ass to have all that they have, makes yall just as evil as your judgment. Figure out a system that stimulates your own goals, through the framework of this model; instead of judging the guy because he has what most don't.
