Did you ever experience “fatigue guilt” ? I’m just at week 3 of jugg AI, rlly enjoying it but find it very difficult to rate a set or session as a high RPE when I think I should be able to do more.. one example is before training when I rate the fatigue of my body. Today my low back was feeling pretty spicy before deadlifts but a part of me was afraid that if I put a 1 or 2 for soreness than it will reduce my workout intensity/volume and I won’t get stronger. I’m typically used to always doing max effort or very close to (but have plateaus for a while, hence the juggernaut ai!
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 3 жыл бұрын
In a way, yes. However over time you'll get more dialed in to rating. As the weights progress you'll find rating those higher fatigue items will help keep you fresh and wanting to train.

I see some Vulcan fleck bumpers in the back. If/when you review them can you check the outer diameter for consistency? Strange request but I only ask because Rogue has a adopted a +/- 3mm from 450mm for their version and I have bumpers on each end of that tolerance which ruins my experience with them. I bought a 370 set... It's most notcible when some plates continue to spin after an olympic movement despite the plates resting on the floor... Even posted a video to send to rogue but they are considered "normal"... The lettering was also transparent on some denominations but they were willing to replace those despite a little inconsistency in that decision when switching CS reps... Thanks for the posting and all you do

Does the program have you do pause benching as you get closer to testing since it is more specific to the competition lift and do you have an idea of what your bench is with a pause base off your touch&go?
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 3 жыл бұрын
It has "competition bench" as standard. So you can choose to pause how you want. I believe Chad suggests pausing the first rep of a set and then doing the rest outch and go.
@2080bop
@2080bop 3 жыл бұрын
I can't even explain how much I can relate to the struggles of the 1st rep on the DL. I used to think the same thing. That I wasn't getting tight enough. But now I'm wondering if it's bc of it being a "deadlift". Where I'm not getting the benefit of being able to prime my nervous system with the unrack & eccentric portion of the lift. That's why I never take a handoff with the bench. It feels like a shock to my system to just receive that much weight over my chest.
@Xplora213
@Xplora213 3 жыл бұрын
Do you use a deadlift bar? You could get a lot of that activation by pulling the slack out of the bar.
@BasementBrandon
@BasementBrandon 3 жыл бұрын
For me I think it's tightness b/c on the following reps they almost always go better when I'm already tense and in position. Def gonna mess with it after this is over!
@2080bop
@2080bop 3 жыл бұрын
@@Xplora213 yeah. And that's what I've been focusing on. Pulling the slack out to get tighter bc I thought that was my problem. But on the subsequent reps I barely pull the slack out and they go way easier.
@Xplora213
@Xplora213 3 жыл бұрын
@@2080bop try a more dynamic start to the pull as well. You can bounce into the hole to stretch your hamstrings. Check out Clint Darden on KZbin, his technique is very interesting to watch. He’s my old coach. Brandon’s technique is completely different. I won’t suggest either is better for you. But just because the deadlift is static on the ground doesn’t mean you should be.
@2080bop
@2080bop 3 жыл бұрын
