They're filming season 2 right now. As long as they stick to the original formula, and travel to some different countries, it's going to be awesome. The only thing that should change is removing those segments featuring internet clips of cross-fitters and gym bros passing out or wrecking their equipment. Three reasons: (A) it has fuck-all to do with competitive or historical strongmen (B) there are countless clips available for use of actual strongman athletes making hilarious/horrific mistakes both in and out of competitions and (C) most of those dumb internet clips have already been seen by the people who will watch The Strongest Man in History.

@@ShayanGivehchian it would tho. Yes the volume would be much lower but their percentage of the pie is much higher so it balances itself out. For example let’s say they got $10,000 an episode for 7 episodes and they probably get no residuals so they’d walk with $70k. Now they shoot the same 7 episodes and instead release independently on multiple platforms(they can license it to tv and stuff like that while retaining ownership) and let it live for the duration of their life cause they get residuals from ownership and they charge the typical $19.99 per season they would only need approx 14,000 views to generate the same amount of revenue for each of them and then they keep making more on it over time passively which ultimately would surpass their network earnings. The major difference would be if they want their money all upfront or if they are cool with letting it accumulate. considering content is becoming the main focus of all businesses they could also make a ton off sponsorships during the actual filming to cover recording and travel costs etc. so I’m not saying it’s 100% promised but it is very possible. It's actually messed up how little respect Eddie and Robert show to Nick, especially as an elder to them I wish they wouldn't do that. Nick is so upset by it as well especially hearing about how they were mocking him in front of a fan who is named after him. Pick your game up Eddie and Robert don't be bullies.

Being honest I feel really kinda bad for Nick, they really do just kinda walk all over him and treat him like a punching bag. Maybe I’m not understanding the relationship, but it def does seem like Nick gets disregarded A LOT, and there’s some tension between him and Eddie. I mean he was literally about to break down and start crying when he talked about that kid that his friend named after him, who was standing right there when Eddie and Rob were making fun of him and clowning on him calling him a wuss. And they just laughed at him, called him stupid for putting so much weight on and just brushed past it. There’s several other places where Nick kinda hinted that stuff they said or did really hurt and upset him, and not once does anyone stop and consider that maybe it’s not all in good fun on Nick’s end. Nick tries to play it off as best he can, but I think he’s so willing to do all this because these guys have a lot more subscribers and followers for their online presence. He quit his job to pursue these opportunities, and he’s an older guy now. Idk, I just don’t think these guys seem always treat him very well. Seems pretty callous and cruel for someone that’s supposed to be a friend. Even on the video they did for Eddie’s channel, Eddie forgot to mention Nick’s KZbin channel and he got upset about it. Just doesn’t seem like a happy relationship on Nick’s end tbh, but who knows maybe I’m interpreting things the wrong way.

I agree. If it weren’t for Brian I’m positive Nick would have nothing to do with them. Bold assumption? May be but call it how I see it

I always feel Nick is kinda on the outside a bit in this group, I dunno if it's the age gap. Personally I couldn't be around Eddie or Oberst for any great period of time TBH.

@@trident1314 I used to think that as he is a bit older and quiter he was happy to just sit back and let the "kids" play, but seeing them all together again it seems that there is some animosity especially from Eddie and they are actively keeping him out of the group apart from Brian who is way too nice. Everytime he speaks there is either a dead pause or they straight up insult him and move on.

They are straight up bullying him. You can see Eddie does not like him, and constantly tries to undermine him.

Feel like nick doesn’t get the respect he’s due. He’s hanging and doing the challenges with much younger men. He got upset about the story with his mates kid named after him and two of them are laughing at him, friends don’t really do that. Seen a side to Eddie that’s a bit off the way he talks to nick

You weren't reading the room well. He was just expressing an emotional context and they understood. There's no need to dwell on it and get all awkward. That's the kinda stuff OB and Eddie went through with the murderer lol.

@@A-A-RonDavis2470 trust me mate in England we tear each other a new arsehole like the way we banter each other is dark and harsh, Other nations don’t read it well or they think it’s always good hearted and that there’s never any undertones. Brian, Love your podcast and loved the history series! I'm from Greenville, SC, and on our anniversary a couple years ago I talked my wife into making a stop in Toccoa, GA on our way to Helen, GA. I knew about the Paul Anderson memorial from the episode you filmed there, and the day we visited was literally the day before what would have been Paul's 100th birthday...! The memorial is truly special and we love his faith in Christ Jesus on full display. Bless you all and keep being strong!
