There was Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader and then these 2 games got patched out with patch 1.3 (also called HD patch because you can choose between bigger resolutions) end of story,did I make this clear for you? :)

Rather than just selling all of your stone, you need to convert it into Trebuchet ammo, and then place your Trebuchets on attack mode. They'll automatically fire at the enemy keep, continually weakening his walls and depleting his resources. Same is true for most of your units. You could've been far better when defending if your troops weren't always waiting for the "go-ahead" to attack oncoming soldiers.

I really wish they'd remake the Stronghold series with better use of hotkeys... only so many times I can stomach selecting a group of engineers and having to manually click every time I want to build something. ''CONSTRUCTING SIEGE EQUIPMENT!''...I hear it in my dreams I swear! Also bothers me when, if my units are on defensive/aggressive, they'll often still stand there and be shot to pieces, maybe something more responsive like Age of Empires or Warcraft 3 units would be better? Fingers crossed Crusader II fixes a lot of the old problems! just 1 month to go!

Man that's a lot of units! i guess it's my scale of everything that have been too small... When i lay siege in the first couple of trials its normaly 4 ballistas, no portable shields, 3-4 trebutches and 30~ swordsmen. I guess ill try and produce more military units!

Man u r awesome and really a tough nut to crack on ;) :). I have a couple of questions 1: Have u been defeated by somebody in a multi player game, if yes please upload a video if that 2: What will u do if somebody attacks with same strategy, i mean using a lot of catapults, trebuchet's, crossbowmen s, swordsmen...etc.. how would u defend urself in this situation.

I think I have,once. :) But I don't have the video. I would use Knights,Trebuchets and catapults to drive them away.As long as you know he is coming using the tactic,you have the advantage of defending.By that,I mean he will have to move to get closer to you,and units cannot fire while moving so,you can make the first 2 hits with the catapults,attack with knights and BAM! :)

Its rly easy if you have a timer like 30 mins peace before war. you can easy boost your Economy and then start of with a nice castle+ army. But well, i played this game several of hours and for years! So its great to see people still playing it!

Red player should've won, he started off with a small castle which is the right way to go. Playing by starting off with a big one the way Yellow did will see you dispatched 10 minutes into the game by 10 horse arches, 5 slaves and 10 assassins. I'm assuming they had a no-rush deal tho.
