My brother still remembers a very cold winter day in 1958 when one of the school teachers was pulling another car to start it. My brother went out to try start my Model B Fordor, and it started right up. It was the only car I sold for what I paid for it a year previously. I brings back fond memories,

Guys, I know you like to go for originality, but the cord on that massive soldering iron really should be replaced before you have a "shocking" experience!😵💫 Love what you've done to this little engine.I love the simplicity of it. No solenoid, no cables running everywhere. Just mount the starter near the floorboards, run a rod from the switch up through the floor and you're good to go. Love the sound of these things as well. Good on you for using a Model A exhaust system for that authentic sound.

Oh Yeah ! Good to have you gents back ! Shop looks great. One suggestion, you might want to hide an led strip light up behind the service station cabinet's roll down door. It's pretty dark above the workbench. Jim did a nice job on the B Model sounds strong. As it should coming from " Strong's Garage" 🤭👍 Cheers !

I had the pleasure of working on a '31 and like the 31 Caddy V12 I undertook, I learned a heck of a lot about how cars were made in the early years, and boy were the electrics fun to wrap my head around! That poor old 4 banger though, it was a cosmetic restoration from maybe the late 60's or early 70's and I don't think the lower end had ever come apart. It was leaking badly from the rear of the pan, and upon removal i found pieces of steel which I figured out were the piston skirt inserts which had broken in a couple of the pistons. Customer was just selling the car and wanted to put as little in as possible, so the mess was cleaned up, then found the condenser was bad in the distributor, which I replaced. I got it running and squeezed inside to drive it around the block which was an adventure! The '36 Ford V8 pickup with cable brakes was a whole other generation of car from that model B! I miss working at that restoration shop, but don't miss the shop owners.

Unfortunately now the red, relatively modern tool chests/boxes are looking kind of misplaced. Maybe some day in the future you will have time to change the colour = paint them. 2) What a good running engine. Sounds strong and smooth. Congrats for a very nice rebuild and modification. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to both of you.
