Hi Erica. That is a fantastic strop. mine are all so small. I need to get a bigger one like that. You asked what your viewers have been up to. Well, we were driving back home to Maine from New Hampshire today. Visited family there over the weekend. It was such great weather this weekend. we were hoping to get some snowshoeing in, but all we could find was dirt and ice!

I've got a paddle strop from Sharpening Supplies. Kind of like yours but mine is not quite as long. I have the green compound on the suede side and just the smooth leather with no compound on the other side. Works great for me. I don't go for the high polish like you do, I'm happy with paper-curling sharp!

That’s how I do it ten nine eight etc If you watch a barber strop a razor they strop from side to side when they are finishing up I have a cheap Marbles strop that is hard leather on on side and rough leather suede on the other I have to put the compound on it and use Flexcut Gold

I always alternate sides when I’m stropping. Maybe I should try multiple strokes on one side before switching Rex 45 native chief in the pocket this week I also use diamond paste or emulsion seems to help things go a little quicker

Oh and was missed court from 9yrs ago for something could prove didn't do but said did jus be done with it and got max sentence on missing court 93 days and for what didn't do so woulda been jail same amount time either way an did 37 days waiting go other countie for the 93 days and got caught up cuz gang unit where I live racially profiled me for being white in black neighborhood I kniw how that sounds but I being honest I didn't do anything wrong other than they said at stop sign I went a little past white line so lame of a reason

I really like to work my way down in number of passes per side, like 4 on each side, then 3 on each side, etc... Maybe that's what you were describing when you mentioned dwindling? IDK, I feel like sometimes you need multiple passes before you switch sides.

Stressful lately bout get dragged into court again and struggling with all the fines from the 4mons was locked up 7-20-22 to 11-9-22 went court in 2 counties and on 2-9-23 luckily wasn't sentenced to 18 mons probation so glad didn't have to do that lol
