Short and informative session😃 🔴 HOMEWORK- 1) smooth endoplasmic reticulum don't have ribosomes where as rough endoplasmic reticulum have ribosome stuck to its walls. 2) RER is responsible for synthesizing and storing protein whereas SER is responsible for the synthesizing of lipids and storing some protein and lipids 3) RER is present near nucleus in the internal part of the cells whereas SER is present near cytoplasm in external part of cell.

Answers of Homework 1.Rough endoplasmic reticulum has ribosomes attached to it while smooth endoplasmic reticulum does not have proteins attached to it. 2.Rough endoplasmic reticulum helps in synthesis of proteins and enzymes while smooth endoplasmic reticulum helps in synthesis of lipids. 3.Rough endoplasmic reticulum consists of cistarnae(long,flattened sacs) smooth endoplasmic reticulum consists of tubules(long tubes) and vesicles(oval like things formed from budding of rough or smooth endoplasmic reticulum and then pinches off to form a vesicle with a membrane containing proteins or lipids according to which part of endoplasmic reticulum,SER or RER has experienced budding and helps to transport the proteins or lipids to the place where it is required).
