Nice build! I had to google to find out what a stamp mill was and what a 10 Stamp Battery was too. I feel a little smarter now. 😀

I could have explained that I suppose! LOL

@@OtterCreek I mean, I knew it had to do with mining, and that the battery wasn't the kind you used to start a car, but I went down the rabbit hole a bit anyhow.

Very interesting model. I did a network search for this type of machine to better understand how the stamps crush the ore and the amalgamation process extracts the metal from the resulting crush. I would consider that model to be a ten on my scale but for you, I heard you say it was not too difficult. Great results despite the loss of the rod assemblies. Nice recovery from that. Regards.

It is a very well engineered kit and a joy to build. I can think of several kits that were more of a challenge than this was. Thanks for the kind words and stopping by!

Dennis! Beautiful results in spite of "negligent activities by unknown personnel" (they oughta fire that guy!) Those amalgamation tables look super!!! One could say that they look like they've been through the mill. lol🤗. . . . . . 🚂Lawrence

I know!! There's an ongoing IG investigation on why that disaster happened, managers are running scared! Jimmy Billy luckily escaped with just a few scrapes and bruises. Like a champ he went back at it and made repairs in record time. I had no idea what an amalgamation table should look like. I had limited luck with online searches. Anything I could find in color had mud flowing across it, the rest was black n white. I guessed. LOL.

@@OtterCreek Well it was a spot-on guess! The 'metal' looks like old muddy well-used zinc or something like that. (IMO) You don't suppose the IG will try to pin it on the builder, do you? If they do that, then what's next? Geez, everybody would be suing and the entire railroad could be at risk.😟

I think the builder is safe, he knows the IG personally!

So, not an OSU fan. So then an OU fan? Great kit and instructional vid.

Been an OU fan my whole life, however, I will always root for which ever team has the most to gain from winning when they face off.

Did Jimmy get Workman’s Comp when he was a victim of company oversight? A nice little model, well done

Hey Dennis can you tell me the dimensions of this model. I am looking to build a stamp mill my self. Regards David

I cannot adequately express my disappointment that you didn’t outline JimmyBilly’s body with Sharpie and surround his body with crime scene tape! In a Biblical turn of events, it seems he came back to life and quickly began reconstructing the deconstructed stamp mill! Interesting item about the prototype is that each time the cam lifts the stamp bar it turns it a bit, which causes even wear on the crushing end of the stamp. I’m sure the model would actually do the same if motorized! Beautiful build!

JimmyBilly, thanks to his cat like reflexes, was able to leap free just before impact. Only a few scrapes and bruises thank goodness. Another interesting point about the stamp mill is they were timed in such away to keep them from walking walk forward and right out of the building. Thanks for stopping by!
