Great response by you and your dept. However, the crew on scene..... not 1 person in ppe and turnouts.... shame
@geebee60103 жыл бұрын
In rural communities like this the volunteers tend to respond straight to the scene.
@eriksand92623 жыл бұрын
@@geebee6010 if you belong to a volunteer department that allows you to go directly to the scene. Your turnout gear should be in your personal vehicle. So they can still gear up when they get there.
@mrnorthwestohiodude77583 жыл бұрын
Yea. I believe judging by the description, the trucks on scene are from the neighboring department. Shame to see them without gear but I have a feeling there may be some reason behind it.
@jasoncrawford5322 жыл бұрын
Most likely it’s probably a department with not a lot of money for extra sets of gear

I came along for the video ride thinking we'd be there in 5-minutes but it felt more like two states away. I know it's only 15-minutes but man was that a long ride.

i'm hoping that nothing died in this fire. fires are horrible and i've had several friends lose everything to a fire. even animals. so they're nothing to laugh at. but as i was watching and listening to the chatter on the box the thought came to me, i'm just curious if anyone else was watching the flutterbies.... lol after destructions comes life.. :)
@zeldarepsher31643 жыл бұрын
Trunk Monkies we totally agree with you about anybody losing everything in a fire of any kind because my dad's neighbor in Phillipsburg New Jersey lost a lot of her and her childrens belongings due to her ex-boyfriend setting her house on fire thank god they weren't there and thank god for quick response by me and my dad for calling 911 when I was younger because I helped the cops catch him

Was this a fire truck ?
@Stargazzer8112 жыл бұрын
No, Fire Chief's vehicle. Most Fire Chief's (and battalion chiefs in cities) have a truck or suv that they use as transport to a scene. Serves as a mobile command post and sometimes carries small amounts of gear.

Why the delay after calling in responding when you say responding it means your responding not sitting in driveway
@Belchmaster41 Жыл бұрын
sometimes, it takes a few minutes to make sure the driveway is clear in both directions before heading out

The fire scene at 16:40 no one appears to be wearing full PPE, in fact one guy on a hand line has no PPE on at all, what sort of outfit is this?, glad we don't operate like this is the UK.
@Stargazzer8112 жыл бұрын
Its one where they decided putting the fire out and saving lives was just that much more important that day. Not to mention in the UK you guys are what? 98% paid departments now? Here in the states 70% of ALL firefighters are VOLUNTEERS, who work with no pay, work at all hours and on all days, and put their lives and safety below that of everyone else in the community. They don't always have the luxury of having nice gear or days off.

CLICKBAIT Structure fire? Not in this video!! I didn't see any sort of structure fire in this video, or any fire at all for that matter. When you see the words "structure fire" that is what you expect to see. That is NOT what you see in this video. Allow me to summarize this video for you: This video spends the majority of its time driving you through the countryside listening to the fire department radio chatter. Then about halfway through the video you get to follow a fire truck while still driving through the countryside, and still listening to the fire department radio chatter. Where the ultimate destination of this video ends is not exactly clear. You just keep driving through the countryside, listening to radio traffic, and following that fire truck until... Wait for it... It gets exciting... You get to park behind the fire truck! Then some more radio chatter. The end. (All sarcasm was intended) I don't expect KZbinrs to produce exactly what I would like to see, but I do expect some honesty in the titling of their videos. Clickbait is even more infuriating when a government or pseudo-government agency (not sure what the Milton fire department is considered to be) decides to use clickbait. I gather from the comments that the person who posted this video is a/the Chief? If so I would like to say thank you and your team for your service! I appreciate, and I'm grateful for the hard and dangerous work you do. Please, please, please don't use clickbait it's way below your station in life!! (no pun or sarcasm intended with that statement)

I think the only thing that doesn't make you seem like a complete jerk here, is the fact that there is grammar used in your comment.
@dozerplays39633 жыл бұрын
FYI, structure fire is the call type. And while on scene, it may be seen as rude to video a scene that someone has needed to call 911.
@Oklahoma_Strong3 жыл бұрын
Ok man, its kinda hard to show the what you put it as "structure fire", since at the point of arrival, whats more important, the fire? or showing the structure while trying to get a camera pointed at a fire. In this case a single-wide trailer on fire that you dont know how many people in that structure still. Im sorry but I rather show the trucks and responding then trying to set up cameras and positioning my unit with the camera. You never know what could've happened at that scene. If you don't like this mans content, why you even watching. Common Sense.
@GTALOVER743 жыл бұрын
It’s a structure fire response video…there is no clickbait here…and are you mad because the house wasn’t fully engulfed when he got there? Because it terms of public safety, it’s good to get the fire out in a reasonable time😂
