Thank you for not skipping out over the seemingly minor (but ridiculously important for a student) details.

Great job! I'm a professional engineer, and sometimes I forget how to do stuff. This was an excellent refresher.

Spent dont know how many hours, weeks i spent trying to grasp this, studied some books, did some problems, made a general understaning and got stuck again and again. Found this video skipped to 25:00, watched the 23 sec upto 25:23, and now i understand everything

in the real moment for point A, why is the 48k positive and the 36k negative. both are resultants and pointing in the downward direction on the beam?

bro u save me for my tmr exam!

when finding the moment equations for the real beam you have M2 drawn positively I believe then when you are solving for the moment about the cut you write it as a negative moment. Why?

How to handle beames (not cross sections!) that are connected ? I mean it LOOKS like a rectangular.
@structurefree4 жыл бұрын
are you talking about a hinge connection? aka, compound beam
@Ocean_384 жыл бұрын
I mean a closed frame. 4 beams connected basically. At the bottom, two Supportings, pinned and roller supports. And at the top just connected beams. It looks like a rectangular.
