Actually Gaia is smaller than Cronos, you can tell because when he picks up her hand in Tartarus, his hand is larger, but Poseidon is bigger, since he goes up a portion of Olympus that makes the Titans look small. Also with what you said about progress is kind of silly, because that could be said for literally any videogame, TV show, and movie character ever, they win to progress the story even if they, in reality lose to what they are fighting. Look at Resident Evil, Wesker should be able to casually kill Chris and Sheva, but due to plot armor and the story he doesn't.

They didn't just change Kratos' weapon. They changed it to something bland. The Blades of Chaos were creative, badass, and they seemed to fit Kratos' character. The sparkly lumberjack axe is none of those things.

I'm judging it based off on its aesthetics, so I don't need to see it in action. Kratos will undoubtedly do cool things with it, but he could do cool things with anyone weapon...so yeah, bland.

TitanGT66 I don't know if we'll fight Thor, or if we do that it'll be to the death. Thor is actually one of the more benevolent gods from all of the different pantheons. Tbh I'm interested in seeing how they handle the Norse gods since there's a lot less shady and straight up evil shit going on in their lore than in the Greek mythology. Odin wasn't even half the dick that Zeus was and their only really evil god was Loki so I'm curious if we'll just get into a fight with Thor out of a misunderstanding and then maybe work with the gods to fight something else like Loki, Frost Giants, etc. or if they're gonna be taking liberties and turning them into a bunch of dick heads just like the Greek gods which I really hope they don't do cuz I don't want a rehash of the original trilogy. Some more nuance and variety regarding the gods and how they act would be really cool to see.

Anyways, they sent the hydra after him and he smashed it into mount Olympus, killing all the gods, but Zeus, in the process. He even took out Ares and Poseidon with one blast. I know it's a comic and anything can happen, but, a feats a feat, right?

You're right, but from what you said, they don't sound that strong, and not all comic characters are super strong, most are, but not all. Also, that wouldn't work in the GoW world because Mt. Olympus is around 9000 miles tall, which makes sense, since the titans are 500 meters tall, and they look like flys in comparison to it.
