Fun Fact: Sofia Falcone was eating with her hands in the dining scene because she was in Arkham, where inmates are treated less than humans. And she probably got in trouble with other inmates and usually, that means they're locked in isolation, and potentially kept in a dark room. So when she is given food, she probably had to eat like a savage

The Batman takes place in 2021 from October 31st to November 6th The Penguin takes place a week after Gotham just has that Classic Retro feel to it especially in the less wealthy places We know it's 2021 because of Bruce and his age + the Wayne's Murder Which happened in 2001 and the film takes place 20 Years After Bruce is 30 in The Batman but was 28-29 when he started being Batman 1 year and 6 months before the film takes place Though in the film there's a newspaper and An eviction notice that says 2019 but that's most likely because they were shot before the production's pause in covid and the original script Also some forget The Batman was originally going to release in June 2021

Its set in modern times 😂 in the film, riddler was using social media. Gotham just has an old esthetic to it. Gotham is based on a blend of NYC, Chicago, and London with a gothic twist. Its dirty, massive, crime infested.
