They need to take that chassis to Longhorn and have it stripped down and look for a broken chassis bar that's allowing the car to flex and come unloaded, it's going to be in an area thats not seen on a nut and bolt check but is in a critical area or those boys just can't set a chassis up for Joseph, because we all know the HTF boys can drive 🏁

@@CORNDODGER Because when you are talking about something bring bent by 1/4" throwing the whole racecar off it needs to go back to the chassis builder who has the jig to place the car on to see. @johncarter11372 жыл бұрын
@@CORNDODGER That's fine if they are racing a hobby stock but this is a pure breed super late model and it's obvious to experienced racers that something is not right with the chassis which takes a jig to determine. Even NASCAR teams send the chassis to the builder when needed if it's not in house.

Different dirt, car, motor, track, Joseph has a lot of different stuff to learn to do all over again. You'll get it Joe. Once you learn to do what the fast pros do, on the kind of equipment they use, on the tracks they run, you'll be as fast as them. Remember, The hardest part to fix on any car, is the driver. But it does pay the biggest dividends for the lowest cost.

As someone who got to attend a race before Lucas Oil put money into it. It is definitely night and day difference. From what this track used to be like. Needless to say the diamond of dirt tracks is definitely a good way to describe this track in its current configuration. Because back in 2002 it was for sure a lump of coal. Due to the fact the grounds was a sloppy mess, the owner/promoter at that time; had to inlist help from the racers to sit in the back of the tow truck. In order to pull start the only tractor that was there on site at the time. So that they could farm the track, so the current promoter with the money Lucas Oil invested into this track. It definitely makes it the nicest (non-county) owned dirt track I have been too.

Something looks like it is binding in the chassis as others have stated. The problem with getting behind is you have to chase it all night. Dirt late model racing is about preparation before you get to the track now obviously Joseph is not where the car is so he doesn't know what they are doing before they get to the track. A good late model team has the car prepared and ready to go for the night so you can just go on the track and hot lap and make minimal adjustments through the night. Good luck and keep on doing what you do!

It’s easy to speculate from the cheapest seats, but to me the biggest thing HTF has fought from the start in super is never having enough drive. That’s why everyone is always dogging the motors, because Joseph so often gets pulled down the straights. Maybe he just likes a much freer car and letting it roll through the center, but getting it as free as he likes it just kills his drive. Would explain why he’s so badass in 604 too, can run it freer than most others and maintain momentum, and it doesn’t have the ass to buzz the rears so badly. In any case, that Cornett was hauling down the straight, even after plowing through the corner, so it has the power for sure. Might be time to start setting up tighter than he likes (maybe not as tight as that car was!) to keep drive in it and learn to adapt his style.
