Why yes, this was filmed on a potato. (Sorry about that - forgot to double check the settings on my camera) But hopefully the tips are like delicious French fries (from a potato...geddit?!) 😃

I'm a tall guy who always uses ~3/4 swing. Hearing that it's totally fine to do that and standing close(ish) to the ball is also good is a relief. I've been wondering if someone my size should be trying to put more power in. The battle to break 85 continues ! Your previous course management tips were awesome too 🤟

Glad to hear it! Totally understand your question about whether to put more power in - personally I think that usually leads to other things going wrong, so personally I prefer just getting good timing and swinging the clubHEAD faster vs swinging the club faster (which throws off balance). Are you in balance at the start and end of your swing? And do you accelerate through impact?

Exactly - finding that good tempo on a 3/4 swing is better than trying (and failing) to crush one. Balance and acceleration and focuses of mine, being a mid-handicap atm, I'd much prefer to have control & consistency rather than distance. Going to upgrade my 7yr old beginner Yonex set this year so taking it easy while bedding in new clubs will be a must... 😅

Haha true dat. The other great thing I love about 3/4 swings is that there's not that much body movement required which means less stuff to mess up 😅
