My biggest desire is to hear God's voice. I feel all by myself
@nolancavanaugh4063 жыл бұрын
It’s not my biggest desire but I want to hear taste see touch & smell God. My biggest desire is a spouse who meets my qualities & morals on life. Who will help me grow in my saintification & i help her with hers. I am lonely & I have realized that’s because loneliness is the feeling that I have people in my life but no one has me. I’m missing the presences of a females companionship
@caroc43272 жыл бұрын
You are certainly not all by yourself. God is with you and so are the Saints and brothers and sisters. But you also have to be willing to reach out. I know of a woman who feels lonely, but she pushes people away and doesn't want to open her heart and be vulnerable. If that's you, you need to take chances, pray and ask God to lead you to good people and take the chance to open your heart to them and allow them inside.

@@nolancavanaugh406 If you have discerned marriage then trust that God will send the right person you're way. In the meantime, focus on improving yourself. The time will be well worth it. I yearned for my spouse for a very long time, but when I met him I realized that when I had been ready, he hadn't been ready. It takes two. God has to arrange two lives to come together at the right time. Be patient with him and he won't disappoint you. I know I received a lot more than what I ever thought possible through my husband.

Pray to be saved by gods grace. Other than that what other people call their intuition is the Holy Spirit so if you start listening to that the louder and more you will hear gods voice. If those two don’t work read the Bible and meditate on it. If the Bible is too hard read classical literature first. Think about your actions and hey you do them. Think about other peoples reactions and why they do that what drives People. This is how I hear gods voice and his guidance and if I feel like I’m starting to not hear him I try to be more present and analytical of what people do, etc.

@@caroc4327 Yesterday at Mass I asked the question to my RCIA director, when we ask God a question how do we know where to look and listen for his answer? She told me often times we receive the answer we need through His word and the word of others. And here I am in the comments of a video that I felt called to and I see your response that is the exact answer I needed to hear, just because I'm ready doesn't mean that the one He has planned for me is ready yet and that's not something I've really considered. Being impatient is the nature of humans and a constant battle to overcome but improving myself daily and striving to become the best man I can be for the one He has planned for me is the biggest motivator I have right now. I will admit, however, that with all this in mind I still struggle to see the light at the end of the tunnel on a daily basis. God bless

This is how I feel: God speaks to people like Fr. Mark-Mary because He has chosen them specially. He doesn't speak to ordinary schlubs like me because He hasn't chosen us specially. I can kid myself that "God is walking with me in my decisions" etc. etc. - but I don't really believe that this is true: the evidence just isn't there in my life. God WON'T help with my decision-making, but He WILL blame me if I get things wrong. I guess that I just somehow should have been one of God's Special Ones - except that I have no idea how to do this.

I have heard God's Voice when I took a glance to close my eyes 2 days ago around 9pm. I felt that my body has a different sensation, it's a different feeling that my body felt, it feels like I was in another dimension. What I heard is "....Angels....." God said to me with little clarity and a loud voice with Echo voice in all directions. It is like a loud speaker all over the sorroundings but he has a big voice. I only hear the word "Angels" but the other words that he said are slowly fading and I can't understand it. I think I heard his voice in a matter of only a few seconds and faded, then I opened my eyes and I felt different again. I was not sleeping that time, I am just closing my eyes for a few seconds but never expected that God the Father is the Word, and the Word was God. Now I know that he wants to send his Angels on me because I have been thinking a lot of bad things lately.

Having awakened from yet another puzzling dream, opebed the KZbin app to find this video was at the top. Don't know if all dreams are divinely inspired, but I did ask in prayer right before falling to sleep if the Franciscans is the right place for me in my desire to serve God. Dream didn't seem His answer was yes or no, but coupled with what you shared about having to screen women to decide who was eligible or not for help, the dream could be interpreted as a what to expect I'd be walking into while helping the poor. Not pretty. Constantly needing to watch where and what I step in. Struggling to persuade those people who can help themselves to clean up. IRL, I worked in a bank for just over one year. Learned I'm not interested in money. I've been homeless, and know what poverty is like. Living a minimalistic life appeals to me. And I've honestly been most comfortable with those similarly affected. Sadly, the dream doesn't say whether or not if I'd be effective in the Franciscan ministry in 0ursuit of doing God's work. More prayer and meditation required to hear His voice.

I have "heard" God's voice on occasion. Does God only speak on occasion, or is He always speaking it's just we aren't hearing? I'm inclined to think the latter. So it was heavy on my heart how to hear God's voice. I NEED his guidance in some major decisions I'm about to make. This was the second video I found as well! This video was SO on target for me. Wow, so relieved to hear this! I grew up in the non-demonization church and so much energy was put into the whole, “what is God’s will for X in your life?” Perhaps even to the type of cereal you’re gonna have in the morning. (I joke, but not really). A book from the Protestant side that really gave me some relief was Kevin DeYoung’s book, “Just Do Something: a liberating approach to find God’s will or how to make a decision without dreams, visions, fleeces, impressions, open doors, random bible verses, casting lots, liver shivers, writing in the sky, Etc.” It seems like waaaay too much responsibility for God to put on us if we are doing our best to then be chastised for not doing the most optimal thing because we were not knowledgable or wise enough. Where would God’s grace be in that? Thanks brother and keep it up!

I have had so many amazing things happen in my life in which can not be explained away . The meaning of my name is “ Warrior, Gift from God, Son of a carpenter “ I had know idea. The only reason I know this is cuz during my prayer time early in the AM abt 5years later after a major car accident. I just flat out asked God why am I here. The response I received was the answer to that was the reason has always been in my name. The interesting thing my first name has a lot of meanings. A few others “Father of many” “that which comes from a stream unknown” and “ Bright headed” . I have come to call them Gods boo moments. My priest gets a kick out of that. It makes me so happy that love to share my stories. How could you not want to share His beautiful blessings with others. I have always held God so tight to my heart. I do love Him so.!!! God is awesome and it is funny you mentioned there is a meaning behind our names. I have had ☝️ heck of a life. matter how hard it got to move forward I knew God was there with me even at points disparaging and begging Him to take me. I should not really be alive due to the fact one time I sat down and counted 37 times I should have died. Including at one point of running through a house. The man who risked his own life to come in and save me . I should have died hitting a tree and a pole. But I had come to and yelled for St. Michael and ran through the house instead. When ems got there they determined that my blood sugar spiked and dropped really fast and that’s why I passed out. There is soooo much more to the story that I wish I could share but just waaay to long to type it all. That same gentleman a week latter died crashing into a pole and a tree on the same day and hour of my accident . God rest his soul. So yes just stop sit in the quiet and listen. God Bless

Amen. Even in small things God cares. Even when I asked Him for small discounts on things we buy since I am on limited income. I pray. I do not ask for signs. And then, I wait.

This is my story about a small voice was in a prayer room and i was around 17years old that time if not mistaken and also that age I literally dont know how to pray 😅iwas with my family and then after the prayer i stay a while in the room that time my family was outside the room already when i was about to go outside I suddenly hear a voice ,, literally a voice saying “Y your here?” I was shock who’s voice is that came from? Were no one is here and just me. I heard it like it was in from of me.. I heard it literally like a child .. I still go to the prayer room but never heard it again. Dear fr. Mark-Mary, Thank you for this sermon. St. Ignatius of Loyola has also a good teaching on discerning the spirits and hearing God. From experience i know it is working very well. And it is very important and really helpful in daily life. In each situation. God bless. Amen.
