I’m in a networking group called BNI that has “seats” as well. It’s SO powerful. I was able to use my group to bounce ideas off of, practice my pitch etc. they all hired me AND sent me their clients that need my services too

For me I think networking works if you're a talker and a 'joiner iner', for those of us who are observers and listeners by nature it's such a block, not because it's out of our comfort zone but because it goes against our nature. It's a pain in the arse as its so important in growing your business

Totally get where you're coming from. Sharon is an introvert too, and she mentioned several members of her group that rarely talk. If you do opt to try "networking," think about flipping the script and asking questions. Let the potential client (or whoever) do most of the talking. 1. People love to talk about themselves 2. When you ask lots of questions to keep the convo flowing, people usually come away from those calls thinking, "wow, be34780 really gets me."

Right? Sharon blew my mind with her strategy. Glad you enjoyed it! I suggest heading to the LI search bar and typing in things like “virtual assistant,” “virtual assistant networking,” “small business networking,” or “networking + your city.” LinkedIn will then pull up tabs under the search bar - one of which will be Groups. Play around with keywords, check out groups and see what fits your needs best!
