I’m a Rock Band fan in Japan who got an Epic Games account purely for Fortnite Festival. I wish I could get my own guitar controller, but in the meantime, I hold my gaming keyboard sideways and use [1 2 3 4 5] to fret and [Arrow keys ↑ ↓] to strum. This mode is way easier with an actual strum bar you can move up and down.

By the way, Pro Lead and Pro Bass comes with the full Easy to Expert chart set, so don’t be discouraged if you can’t play Expert charts right away. Nobody can without practice! Ease yourself into strum mechanics in Medium or Hard; there’s no shame in that. Also, I recommend increasing the scroll speed in the settings, because the default speed is pretty slow. I prefer 1.75x myself, but it’s a matter of taste.

I love seeing more people getting into this stuff My brother and I were fortunate enough to still have one GH3 and GHWT Wiitar from the 2010s, and it's been a blast getting back into these game(s) I remember a few years before FF was a thing, I was just about to toss these sacred guitars away as they weren't being used anymore. Thank goodness I stopped myself and thought that we could hang them on the wall as a cool memory piece

I just use strum down with the key that is next to Enter which I use to Overdrive, I hated it at first too but I'm getting used to it, this would be more enjoyable using a guitar
