Ben If you're a metal fan, but diving into punk; I strongly recommended a band called POUR HABIT.. their album "Got Your Back" to be specific, the guitar licks, and double kicks will give you earboners.

@@rigoleum3273 BROOOOOO......so I was just on this huuuuuge f..king Propaghandi kick (the ENTIRE catalog, but I listened to Todays Empires... the song today 40x times) and that remixed Best Hits of Strung Out, and "Supporting Caste" Propaghandi LP led me to *POUR HABIT and mother of god....it's like Kid Dynamite, Ignite and 88 Fingers Louie had a gorgeous baby but it was hooked on Willhelm Scream & taking PCP*

Yes. I agree 100%. People see that these guys don't use the same chord structure or vocals as "old punk" bands and have more "pop punk" influences, so they link it to "pop" music (note: not popular music) and call it "bad." They just listen to music to feel like an individual, not to hear good music. These guys have been around longer than the people crying about their genre have even been alive. Much respect to Strung Out, regardless of their "genre."

hahaha! nice, the first show i went 2 in Minnesota, a few of my friends brought a bunch of powdered coffee creamer, i didnt know at the time but the shit if flammable if you do it right and the guys from strung out and if i remember right Big Wig was there, i wish i had video of it, they thought it was really sweet and were actually surprised that anybody even got into the show, there was probably 8 of us and everybody else was sitting on the floor

Heard the song, bought the CD, and now addicted to this album! Sucks that guitar hero is now dead (same with Jamlegend, i will never forget the first time i heard Safety), they showed me some great music! Drist, Voivod, AES, and These Guys! Fat Wreck Chords is also a very good company, Fat Mike is the owner and the bands get all the income from the albums! Generosity to the MAX!!! if you ask me!

I’m still tuning in, all these years later. Seeing ya’ll at Lyskfest was so… I cried 😅, whilst screaming the lyrics to every song. I was front stage, left, if anyone has pic of a cute blonde, punkrock girl with makeup streaming down her face, that was me 🖤 You helped me save myself…. I went through a VERY hard time in my late 20’s, I listened to ya’ll at the gym, if I hadn’t worked out like I did, I wouldn’t be here, I was SO angry & SO sad, nothing else helped me feel better, when I say PunkRock saved my life, it’s literal & it’s happened many times 🔥

The first time I heard this song always makes me laugh and then cringe. Was in the car after work with a friend and she was venting, and I had no issue listening, but we’d had the radio on in the background just to fill any awkward silence. So this song comes on and I’m immediately drawn to it, and was trying to pay attention to her and catch a couple lyrics to look it up when I got home (flip phone era) but couldn’t so I told her to shush for a second. She didn’t even really care but I still think back on it very not fondly 😂
