Love it. Twice in this video you're like "Let me know if you want me to make this..." and then you're like "We're having a second child THIS WEEK", AND you've got a book dropping. Your work life is going to have to slow down, mate! Massive congratulations and make sure you have realistic expectations about how much you can get done while also being an awesome father. Thanks for the vid, as always, and big love from Wales.

So I started doing my year 2024 review directly on the first watch, pausing the video on each new page. Thank you so much for a wonderful morning spent thinking and writing about the year. I started with "I didn't do anything" to " Wow, I did all that!". I truly enjoy your videos and will be sharing this one with my teenage kids. Congrats on your 2nd child on the way!

2024 was a rough year for me, one of those years that just keep challenging you. I didn’t manage to achieve much, but looking at your template there a lot of growth made and a lot of people to be grateful for. I think I’ll keep the template around and gradually fill it during 2025.

9:13 I started sobbing happy tears for you and your family ❤ I’m 35 and finally a senior in college (film major and a minor in socially engaged art). You and your channel helped me more than you know this year! I’ve also been sick and ended up missing quite a lot of class time. Or I had people cancel on shoots/not come through. Literally one video helped me pull myself off the floor post panic attack feeling overwhelmed with make up work and like maybe I should just quit or drop out. The wall really helped me overcome some of the paralysis. It was extremely daunting the amount of work I had to catch up on, (impossible really). I managed to reset my goals/expectations and despite usually being a perfectionist lean into the mindset that my “70%” actually is good enough and while I didn’t get my typical all As I got mostly Bs and one C. Old me would have spiraled over this and had a meltdown about how it was proof I don’t deserve to be there, that I am a failure and all the typical negative self talk type of things. Instead I reminded myself that I’m doing the best I can in terms of my health to go to the doctors/follow their recommendations and try to take care of my body. I also can’t control other people not showing up in terms of group work. And, it’s okay, no one is going to punish me for it except for me. It’s just a grade, and still a passing one. It’s FINE! Thank you so much for all your hard work. You’re really doing so much to support the growth of so many people. Therapy isn’t extremely accessible and the same sort of goes for mentors and your videos give people access to a starting point, a structure they can follow and refer back to and I think that’s really huge, especially for people who are brilliant but lack executive function and it drastically cuts into the time they could spend doing amazing things because of paralysis or any number of things that your channel does an excellent job of addressing. You are so appreciated and I recommend you to every artist or neurodivergent person I meet! Best wishes for 2025! 🎉

🤩 Thank you so much for this. The visual template is so useful. It helped me get out of being stuck in doing this. 2m30s into the video I went to download the template pictures.. I had to convert them to text though, so that I could take action and write them out immediately. Here's the text if it helps anyone: # Year in Review: A Personal Reflection ## Life's Highlights and Journey - A handful of highlights from this year: - A damn good decision I made: - A series of setbacks that weren't in my vision: ## Photos Morning, noon, and night from a standard day: - Morning: - Noon: - Night: Special captures: - A nature shot that moved me: - A progress picture worth remembering: - 1 From home: - 2 From away: ## Goals and Achievements - Goals I successfully hit: - Goals I fell short of: - Goals I subverted or kind of hit, sort of: - A skill I fostered: - A project I finished: - A small silly win (which need not be diminished): ## Cultural Touchstones What shaped my year: - Book I read: - Movie I saw: - Album I felt: - Outfit I wore: How media moved me: - What made me laugh: - What made me yearn: - What made me cry: - What made me learn: ## Creative Influences Who inspired me: - Podcaster: - KZbinr: - Artist: - Musician: What they gave me: - Hope: - Curiosity: - Fun: - Ambition: ## Important Connections - Someone I met: - Someone I missed: - Someone who gave me the will to exist: Their impact: - Had incredible chats with: - Made an immaculate presence in my life: - Lights up my day with their sheer effervescence: - Helped me chill: - Helped me grow: - Helped me more than they know: ## Photo Memory Album - A photo worth 1000 words: - Photos that capture nostalgia, chaos, and laughter: - Two photos that show before and after: ## Personal Growth - Three things I made: - Three lessons I learned: - Three new things I tried: - Three treasures I earned: ## Transformation - The person I was: - Who I became: - 4 ways my life is no longer the same: ## Looking Forward Changing & growing will never be done, so here's a sneak peek of the new year to come... [To be continued...]

Just to say I started filling in the yearly review in the format you propose and I loved how it helped shift my perspective of how 2024 really was. Hey man! Huge congrats on the new addition to the family and the new book! Also a huge thanks to you -- I watched your "Transform your life in 100 days" video, and that was the push I needed to be write the first draft of a book. For the past four years I've been absolutely paralyzed by the mere thought of writing, despite being a life-long writer and aspiring author. I'd taken some time off, let myself step back from those expectations, and was easing back into some daily writing this year, but being able to finish just a first draft within two months is leaps and bounds above where I've been stuck for years. Thank you for all of your videos -- they're an absolute treat and such a grounded source of joy. Here's to finding, making, and sharing more joy in 2025!
