Thank you for sharing this man. I've lately just discovered that the morning routine that makes me energized and fulfilled is a morning that involves drinking a glass of water, stretching my body, and journaling all of my thoughts in the morning. This is the most authentic and effective way of journaling that isn't pretentious. Love the pauses that help me take screenshots of the important parts of the video for note taking. Keep making videos man, these really help.

I started aiming for 80% several years ago (that's 80% out of 110% lol ). A big moment of realization for me was when I drew what I considered a sloppy fox and my 3-year-old could correctly identified it for what it was. That became my yardstick. If I can communicate well enough for a toddler to understand my work, it stops being a "me" problem if someone doesn't get it. xD Great video, very succinct, which it had seen it 30 years ago! lol

Loved this! I had noticed this style's pervasiveness, but hadnt dug into it. Always reminded me a bit of Matisse and Heinz Edelmann (especially Yellow Submarine)...but kind of a soulless clip arty version. Thanks for filling in the story! Love these videos.

The Latin alphabet is just a slightly tweaked version of the Euboean Greek alphabet that they got via the Etruscans. It's literally uncanny how close it is if you see things written in the Euboean Greek alphabet. A lot of thr dissimilarities can be explained by the fact that it came via Etruscan, as it lacked certain sounds, which is why "Γ" (gamma) ended giving us "C", which is just a gamma rotated 45° and rounded off. Initially, the /g/ sound of Latin was also written as "C", but eventually a little stroke was added to indicate that it was actually voiced.

You mushed the Phoenicians in with the Greeks, but they were different peoples living in different places. Almost all alphabets are descendants of the Phoenician abjad (abjads alphabet-like writing systems where you really only have consonants and vowels might be optionally represented with diacritics) and how the Greeks derived their written vowels from some of the Phoenician consonants. And why it's a particular pity to omit that is that the letter "A" is literally derived from a stylised representation of a bull's head that's been rotated 180° over time, and still recognisably so!

My biggest crisis was the breakup with my Ex. The person I had become was the shattering vase, because I had subconsciously created a persona to fit her needs+path instead of my own. Thankfully enough time has passed. The Kintsugi was to ask -only myself- consciously: Who do I wanna be for ME? Why & for what do ›I‹ want to live life? Thank you sincerely Cam, you are a teacher to me.

Oh yeah, practically all of the experiences I once perceived as negative I now look at as blessings. .. Extreme example, but if my parents hadn't emotionally abused and abandoned me while I was growing up, I wouldn't have experienced the pain and suffering Ithat drove me to take control of my life and be happy and fulfilled even when life is hard today. Thank you for the video, great energy,.

Hi Struthless, I just got back here after more than a year as I have just realized that my pursuit for a better life, all the discipline, all the little hacks, all the creative and systemic thinking and all the things you and other authors, content creators, and close ones have taught me over the past few years, have sort of faded away in this addiction fuelled rush for dopamine and quick returns. I have seen a nervous breakdown, struggle with several of my addictions, all over again... And as I sit here, for a moment seeing through the drapes, I came to check you out. To see how you are doing with the channel and just a few minutes in I was washed over by this warm feeling that you and many of your followers are out there struggling just the same, and have been since I left, and I am not alone in this. And I am once again glad for the super-creative, warm, embracing, and honest way of delivering your ideas and running the channel. Thanks for doing this! And good luck to all!

My favorite failure was when I tried to study abroad for college, I moved from brasil to the usa, first time living alone, first college experience and first time living in another country all at once. I spent 3 years trying really hard to get a degree, and instead got severe anxiety and depression! (im skipping quite a lot of story here) it was the period of my life that i learned the most, and grew the most, but it was one of the hardests things i've ever experienced, and it was so so painfull to come back home without a degree and have to start over. Im finishing my degree in computer enginneering right now, and never been happier in life. Im struglin g to find a job, live with my parents and I am seeing most of my friends start to gaing pretty good money with their carrers, but im sure im gonna get there, i need to keep my head up and continue walking my path.

I'm in my early 20's, so haven't had many an opportunity to fail. However, I think my favourite failure was my abject inability to self-motivate myself over COVID Lockdown in the UK. I was smack dab in the middle of my A-Levels (education between high school and university in the UK, aged 16-18), and I spent the better part of 8-10 months (it's rather a blur) outside of school, with nothing but my PC and my incredibly unhealthy mind to keep me company. I couldn't touch my coursework, I couldn't attend online lessons, and I'd fallen out with too many friends. It was hell, and I felt horrible, useless and paralysed all the way through. It was the worst mental turmoil I've ever experienced. By the end, my only goal was to get through with passing grades, get out and do something. Anything at all. I'd tried starting a Twitch channel, but the guilt of not getting my college work done mixed with horrifically low self esteem and a terrible attitude to analytics made me feel awful about it. I had spent most of my time playing video games and rotting. I wish I could say that, the moment lockdown lifted, I flew out and immediately searched for work, and new* experiences, but it took (and still is taking) a great amount of effort to haul my self worth up off the floor and move forward. It's much better now, and I'm comparatively thriving, doing what I can to better my experience, knowledge and circumstances all the time. That period of time is my favourite failure, because I look back on it, and the memory fuels me to keep going and keep getting better, and push through. I suppose you could call it the best example I have of a dark why. Everything I do, I do to avoid slipping back into inaction, and build up my stamina and resolve. Thanks for reading, if you did :) EDIT - *typo

Wow! That was great! I found your video when looking for evidence that writing is better than talk therapy; because, writing uses the executive function of one's brain while talking engages the emotional area of the brain...writing allows one to separate from the emotional charge of a situation and look at it from a more objective perspective. I'm currently putting together a book that includes journaling prompts. So, I found this video to be very insightful. It goes way beyond the surface of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I like that it goes into more than the 'what' and goes into the 'how'. Good job! Don't worry. I'll not be stealing your ideas to put into my book. I've already got my prompts written. At this point I'm just copying and pasting for subsequent journaling days. I was actually researching for a good source to cite for an article I'm writing that states what I said at the beginning of this paragraph.
