This is not the way the tune was intended to be played. Actual key: Ab. Actual rhythmic figure: syncopated...not swing. Get rid of that ride cymbal, use the hi hat and a splash...

Highly technical but his is not how the tune should be played and it's in the wrong key. And neither the pianist nor the drummer know what swing is....

I love how Craig and Leroy play. It's really usual to start in F and then and in Ab. I don't see anything bad. And we can in the key we want !

No wrong keys in jazz. Dizzy and Bird would change keys in jam sessions to throw off the young cats who thought they knew all the tunes.
