I am a 65 y.o. worship leader for 3 homeless ministries & 2 small fellowships. Just recently bought this pedal having been sold on the demos, but as you said ... they're done with electric guitars. My weapon of choice are acoustic/electric guitars! Your video helped me so much! Took a screenshot of your pedal settings as I'm still learning the "in's & outs" of this pedal. Bless you sir & thank you for sharing! 👍🏻✔

Does being a worship leader often inform your choices of guitar effects?! 😂🤷♂️

Bought the Cloudburst specifically for the acoustic, and it‘s every bit as amazing as you point out. I do a wide array of rock, pop, soul and folk covers, and this pedal gives me a beautiful, lush yet unobtrusive foundation for various covers that benefit from a bit of „hovering“ going on. I also have - and love - the MXR Reverb, which has a great pad sound, but the Cloudburst does the job even better, and can be made to sound more natural.

Can I ask which covers you use it for? Or some examples please. I also play covers for a living and am interested to know which songs you've found it enhances 😊

I’ve tried this in a worship setting. The ensemble really shines if you give it enough space between notes. It works better with finger style imho, works more like a sound pad with busy strumming. But definitively a useful addition to the signal path in either case! Keen to explore the best setting for acoustic, may be a mini switch is a good idea.

I'd love to hear some of the other settings in the pedal. Some silly, different settings. See what it sounds like. Some other time I will keep checking back. Keep up the good work

Not really sure what "worship" has to do with anything this pedal does (or vice versa), but I appreciate the acoustic perspective, which I haven't seen demonstrated in any of the zillion other videos about the Cloudburst. Thanks for posting.

he's talking about his personal experience with it, sorry that got to you

@@dreamingdex Ah...OK. That's fine. It didn't "get to me". I just didn't understand it. I guess I was expecting the review to be something that is more generally relatable. I understand the audio demo part. I don't know anything about his personal experience, but I certainly don't take any issue with it. To me it's all about the sound, and the quality thereof. It wasn't clear to me that he was talking about his personal experience. Thanks for your reply.

@@Vito_Tuxedo I led worship for years. A worship leader many times plays and sings alone with an acoustic guitar. The Cloudburst helps fill the gaps that a full band would usually fill. I now play lead electric and an effect like this is helpful in a similar way.

Do you still need a reverb? I got room for one reverb type pedal. This does some unique things that sound amazing, but can it replace a reverb pedal?
@MarcLewis20238 ай бұрын
It’s a great reverb… you’d have to bend down to turn off the modulation/synthesis when you didn’t want that particular sound…

man, you should try a lr baggs anthem, or lr baggs lyric. that piezo sound is too quacky, one of those will make your guitar way more natural.

I hate that piezzo sound. It's crazy that you have a Fishman Aura Preamp and still have this 90's piezzo acoustic sound. Use the Aura properly. And yes the Cloudburst is great. Thanks.

I didn't use the fishman in the video.. just straight into the cloudburst

@@MarcLewis2023 that's why it sounds SO BAD and so piezo-ish. Never do that again please! Always use a preamp with a piezo otherwise it sounds terrible.
