I love your videos, but i honestly didn’t pay much attention to this one… because I put it on in the background while I’m working from home and it was like having a buddy in the room with me noodling around making lovely musical sounds while muttering in a soothing voice about what he was doing. Maybe not how you intended for it to be experienced, but it definitely brought joy to my Monday afternoon. Thanks for that.

Deco has been on my radar for some weird magic on the mixer's FX send. My Elektron boxes already have nice quality delay, rev, and chorus. I've been hunting for something versitile and somewhat subtle, yet characterful and depth-inducing. I think this is it. I love the edition of "Tone" on the V2.

I use my PRO2 as a processor, it has 4 delays! Plenty of modulation, 4 LFOs with plenty of waveforms, many envelopes, CV, ping pong on the delays, tap tempo, and can quickly set ratios between each of the delays (double the delay-rate, dotted, 16th, etc). I don't know about series routing though, I'll have to look into that. It also has a sort-of tape saturation emulation in the "character" section. Still, between the stereo, the double tracker implementation, and the better tape emulation, this really still looks maybe worth getting anyway.

If you do build the pedalboard I just have 2 technical tips for you. 1) There are some digital pedals that do not sit well with some pedal power supplies. Before you commit them all to a board (possibly with psu underneath), you should place each pedal on top of the psu to make sure there is no interference when they are connected and in operation. The psu must have isolated outs. For example: I have an Ojai and a Mobius that must sit at opposite ends of my board. (Maybe because I route through the Mobius twice idk 🤷♂) I have only analog pedals on top of my psu (distortion/fuzz/comp) they don't suffer from the same sensitivity. Pick the pedals you want first, then find the psu that allows you to connect them all as you wish with zero extra introduced noise. Oh and 2) Running pedal patch cables next to the DC pedal power cables is irrelevant. It's only the AC that introduces noise. Can't wait to see how you route it all :D

That SHARC DSP chip is a miraculous tool for audio engineers. I love my Night Sky. I sometimes wish I had gone with the Empress or the Microcosm. But I'll never get rid of my Night Sky and with the release of the Skylab I kinda hope they go all-in and add a synthesis engine. The "Time Warp Reverberator" marketing had me sold as soon as I saw it, with my ambient-leaning tastes. But a Time Warp Reverberative Synthesizer, depending on how it manifests and is designed, that sounds like something I wouldn't be able to resist haha. Even if it was some kind of Blofeld or HS Desktop iteration. I use a HS Deluxe + Night Sky + Mininova as a core ambient toolkit that can make some pretty neat sounds.

I want the time line... But... If they do a plugin I'll be over it for convenience. Would rather deal with effects in the daw for max flexibility... And indecision. That's for synths though. For guitar I totally want pedals. Maybe the dig and then timeline plugin for synths since it's obvious it's coming.
