It is one of those pedals that late at night after a marathon of twisting knobs you write THE ONE... A true masterpiece that will alter the course of music and even mankind. Richard Obdeijn though the sounds are really really gorgeous, when you have a delay on pedal A and want to switch fast to another delay on pedal B, beware that there is a lag of almost a second before the delay on pedal B kicks in. I like it although with reserve considering the price and the fact that like any special FX, I am pretty sure that after a 1000 hrs of playing with it, you will settle on two or three wowowowiwiwiwowowo presets and then it will gather dust on the floor of your studio beside all that other stuff that you have and not used. Yet, for music's sake, ain't that what's its all about? Making noise, having a great time, changing your set up, buying stuff, playing, recording...I just love every part of it.
@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping Жыл бұрын
The Timeline has been on my pedalboard for 10 years and I still love it like I did at first! I love twisting it to create all kinds of modulation effects by setting up delays so fast that you only hear the tone with no delay. I do that to get tremolo, LoFi tones and such. I obviously also use it a lot for delays. Tons of presets I use often! I totally get what you're saying, and it applies to many pedals, but not the Timeline for me!

Great sounds Antoine! Please could you tell me if there is a way with timeline: I want to use an expression pedal to create delays that continue as I bring down the expression pedal so that I can play "on top of the delay" with a clean dry sound? For example on the one creating a delay and then jam upon it on the 2-3-4 .. cant get it to work. Bringing down the pedal takes away the delay.. Would love to get this working..
@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping5 жыл бұрын
There's an easier way! If you put the pedal in buffered bypass mode (meaning the delays will still trail even if you turn the pedal off), you can just disengage the pedal for the 2-3-4, reengage it on the 1, and repeat that cycle for each bar. Other than that, I don't know how you could do that with an expression pedal. If you map the expression pedal to the mix, it will kill the delays, if you map it to the feedback, you will lose the delay quickly, and other parameters are just filters. So... on and off in buffered bypass would be the only solution I can think of! :-)
@ricopersson80885 жыл бұрын
@@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping Thank you for your respons, that makes me come up with an idea.. maybe I can map the expression pedal on the rc-300 to control on/off on the timeline pedal then.. Otherwise its a great advice, only that I want to get rid of the small but hearable "click" when using the timeline pedal as I sometimes play in very intimate settings like meditations and so.
