For my money, Fallen has the best opening 3 tracks. Yahweh, Fallen and Pride are all top tier. As far as showing off the guys' talents, Even the Devil Believes shows so many style variations and the guys' musical flexibility. That's probably my favorite, overall album of theirs.

Hey mate! Long time no see! I know in the past I always comment on the Stryper videos on your channel with the same thing…how great the song is and how Stryper just CAN’T get any better. And then here I am every single time commenting that this is the best and can’t be topped. I’ve been having this song on constant replay and I can’t get enough of it. It has the classical Stryper sound, but it has new elements (pounding double bass pedal, neoclassical guitar notes and scales, etc) that they’ve added and they do it masterfully.

Thank you for doing this review Leigh. I was looking forward to your review of this song as soon as it came out. I am a huge Stryper fan. For me they are #1. I have loved the last few albums as well. The also feel No More Hell to Pay had a special edginess to the tone. This song didn’t hit me on the first 3 listenings. I just didn’t love it. Not like some other songs that hit me like a 2x4 to the skull. But it is growing on me. Sometimes those songs end up being my favorites long term. From a Christian perspective it's not pessimistic at all. It's about when God comes back and takes his people with him. So if that's what you believe it would be positive.

Probably the best song on the album. However, it tricks the listener into thinking what is to come on this album and then never delivers. After this song the album get softer and less like this song. It follows in the same vein as The final battle and IMO is just as mediocre as the final battle.
@benireges2 ай бұрын
@81artmonk you like heavy. when something is less heavy that doesn't mean it's bad, just not your preference. I like the softer songs. I like every soft song they've done and the albums In God We Trust and Murder By Pride. you probably don't. it's that simple. doesn't take away from Stryper's greatness
