I loved Stryper but I don't think Robert is very good at all. Bobby Blotzer from Ratt is very good as is Joey Kramer from Aerosmith. Oz didn't solo much on IGWT and then took theory lessons from Tony Palacios before ATL album. Steve Vai told Oz he liked his playing on ATL which amazed Oz since he admired Vai. Tony P from Guardian might be better than Warren deMartini.

Vicky would book bands into the ROXY on Sunset where in which she would often be inside the ticket booth - She gave me the Job of checking status for entry into the VIP section. Where in which I met Edward Van Halen w/ Valerie B., Meatloaf and Billy Idol to name a few. Good Times - The 80's in Hollywood were some of the Best. - I recall one night at Gazzari's, It was Bill's Birthday and Ron Jeremy and Sam Kinison were hanging out, Sam had a big bag of coke, 1/2 a sandwich bag full. easily an Ounce...

I told him that Howard was talking shit about you Sam just a few days ago on the radio. And Sam went into his comedic rant with that laugh he had! But he didn't share any coke with me.

Damn straight. God does NOT go around having "head conversations" with every Tom, Dick, and Harry on the block. In this day and age, you have to be a servant of the HIGHEST order to get an actual word and even then you may not get one. I mean think about it; if both God and Jesus were so fed up with religion at the time of the crucifixion that the only thing Jesus would tell the Pharisees regarding signs and miracles was that He was going to do exactly what Jonah did and if you can't figure it out then too bad for you, what makes ANY of these people believe that God is feeling more inclined to pull rabbits from hats in THIS shitty day and age? I guess we can be thankful that Stryper isn't one of those horrible, megachurch, "praise and worship" abominations though. I'd rather listen to Bedouin market camel-trader jams than that garbage.

If rock originated from (the blues) And drugs, sex, alcohol, debauchery then surly you cannot offer that unto a Holy God. Here, I am glorifying you with something born out of sin. It seems like "strange fire". Are you Christians, or are you Rockers, ?? You can't be both.

The blues was the same as the Gospel music played in the church back then. The same folks who played the juke joints they on Friday and Saturday night, played in church on Sunday morning. Same chords, same progressions. Just different subject matter. So rock music was born just as much in the church as it was in the clubs. No where in scripture does it talk of a style or type of music being holier than the other. It is the attitude of the heart. In fact, out of tue 150 Psalms, 57 are psalms of lament, hurt pain and struggle (the blues)!

@@randalwoodburn8247 I'm familiar with God and Mammon. I'm saying that Rock was birthed in rebellion, debauchery,. At its core is evil, drugs, sex, rock n roll. I know there is no Bible for it but there is principal for offering God something that is unholy. County, Folk, Rap, whatever style One should examine the origins and what exactly are you offering to the Lord.

@@randalwoodburn8247 Randal, I just read in Judges ch 6 where Gideon tore down an Asheroth pole and an alter of Baal. He then (built an alter FROM THE WOOD OF THE ASHTEROTH POLE) unto the LORD. SO HE TOOK DOMETGING THAT WAS MEANT FOR EVIL AND TURNED IT FOR GOOD. HHMMMMM, I MIGHT CHANGE MY POSITION NOW THAT I SEE BIBLICAL PRECIDENCE, ???

Jesus also didn't go to the Synagogues to get his recruits either. He went to the tax collectors and other heathens.
