She said very similar stuff about Polson and Faster Pussycat in previous interviews..but, Guns N Roses is who she mainly talked about (which is understandable). Nothing too insider-ish, but nothing bad either. At least she's not creating drama or making up false stories. Good luck to her on her book

I met that lady tour manager for GNR that did the South American tour. Her name was Ingrid ....can't remember her last name and there's no info on her on the net. She said behind the scenes those guys in GNR were all great guys, very nice guys. She told me the public image of Axl is not him behind closed doors. That's why there really is no drama about them period, other than their shit show concerts. Seriously man, she spoke about all of them like they were her family and had absolutely nothing but good things to say about them, And I didn't even ask her anything. I guess she's used to people asking so she did a pre-emptive, ...which I had no intention of asking her anything about them. So there probably really isn't any real behind the scenes drama other than them partying hard and hooking up with groupies. Everything else is already in the public domain.

I have and old ass metal magazine from like 1989 with an Axl interview and he disputes all her claims like way before she went public. Axl even talks in detail about the lawsuit thing with vicki. She played little to no part in guns n roses. The only thing she did was get them a couple gigs at a couple clubs and housed them for a tiny amount of time . That was it .

People who didn't get a chance to seem them back "in the day" truly don't understand what they missed. Reckless, Dangerous yes. But also incredibly authentic, raw, heavy and unpredictable. I saw Crue open for KISS on the Creatures of the Night tour in April of '83 in San Francisco. At the time, the only song I had heard from them was Live Wire. While my buddy and I were walking from our car to the venue, I realized that the ratio of Motley Crue shirts than KISS shirts was easily 5 to 1 in favor of MC. Then about half way through their set I remember thinking, "I don't know WTF I'm watching but I absolutely love it!! From that moment on, life would never be the same. Within a week, every inch of my bedroom walls and ceiling were covered in Motley posters.

@@jayrum7303 Hey man, I grew up with a professional singer across the street from me. He taught me how to sing on key, which helped me with my ear training for the guitar. We had conversations about nasal singers. Sorry, but I don't hear Vince singing through his nose. Maybe his nasal voice just rings and resonates with me more like normal throat and diaphragm voice, but I don't hear it. Axl Rose, that's your nasal singer right there. Same with Randy Jackson Zebra originally from New Orleans, LA. King Diamond is another nasal singer, only I guess people would call that more "head voice", same with Randy Jackson. I don't hear it. One of the Motley Crue recording engineers on "In Bloom" stated that Vince sang nasally in the studio and they had to fix it in the mix. But this chick is saying he sounds nasally in the recordings, and In Bloom guy sounds like he agreed with her. No disrespect to In Bloom guy because he runs a great music interview channel, the best by far on KZbin ...#1, #2, and #3 in my book. But I have no idea what they're talking about unless there's something wrong with my ear on this one

@@Rjensen2 + he was a sailor too I guess! they moved to Indiana when she was in 5th grade so I just picked up from there but you're right! I get it, LA is a hot mess lol. I just used to deal with a lot of degrading, sexist stuff as a woman working in the music industry + rarely saw men dealing w the awful assumptions/ questions that us women do. Vicky was literally fired from GNR bc a few people didn't believe "a woman could do the same job better than a man could" according to Steven Adler. Apologies for getting a little triggered lol, just hoping to bring a bit of awareness/ another perspective.

now i know who was responsible for Motley's ugliest "Theatre of Pain" warddrobe choices....pink polka dots did NOT at all resonate with most real metalheads at the time. thats when we all left for the Metallica camp.

Lol. Theatre of pain was a huge success. Sold over four million copies in the US alone. Master of puppets to six months to even sell half a million. So maybe calm down in your assertion that you all left for the Metallica camp

@@MrOctober44 MOP actually outsold Theatre with 6M albums. That's not the point tho...the point that was that Metal was about being badass, and pink lace just doesnt convey that vibe too awfully well. So when Metallica came out, Motley became sort of a joke, a band for teen girls or junior high kids.....at least in the circles I ran with.

I was one of the relative few that thought Theatre was a really good album. I would listen to it today over Girls or Dr. Feelgood no question.

Just another person who had no idea about the business but got bands interested by telling them all the talking points they wanted to hear then the band gets signed and the record company implants their own manager after the ground work had already been laid.
