This band helped lead me to Jesus let me be up front with that! So their music was great back in the 80’s BUT the music they put out today is 2nd to no one and proves WHY this band is so relevant today! May I also add Michael Sweet is also 2nd to no one on guitar, he is known for his voice but his guitar playing is incredible!

The eye patch is real. Michael Sweet had a detached retina. Stryper is amazing. These guys are in or close to their 60's. Oz is back after brain surgery!!! These guys are like hockey players, they don't let anything stop them. Not a jacked up eye or a brain tumor can stop them! Oz and M. Sweet have always been underrated guitarist. The guitars in the song "Surrender" was amazing but never got credit.

I could not imagine the pain and scare of a detached retina! I remember an interview with Michael talking about it and how he'd never want to experience that again, ever! I also remember a very somber interview with Oz Fox when he was preparing to go in for a serious surgery to remove a brain tumor. His hair is growing back it looks in this video!

They sure do. I saw them at Gas Monkey in Dallas, TX. They were doing the anniversary of to hell with the devil. Played the album all the songs from it as in order of the songs on the album. It was amazing!!

Christian Pirate Metal....Arrrrrrrrgh!!! JK....This is fantastic. One of the better modern age Stryper songs. It is nice to hear the harmonic guitar solo again. The sound that made Stryper stand out amongst all those other bands back in the day. The Signature sound I will say.

These guys continuously keep putting out great album after great album, unlike alot of their peers. Hell, alot of em dont even put out new music anymore. Stryper keeps churning new albums out every couple years and its always quality stuff. 👍

My first Stryper show that I saw was in 1987 and the opening band was hurricane. The lead singer is the lead singer of foreigner. I have seen Stryper many times and every time they are flawless live. I have met them too. All great guys. Shane this was a great vid !

These Guys deserve better. They should be playing Larger Venues but Religion and Politics get in the way and that is so SAD! My Top 5 Band in the World, I own all there Vinyl Albums and seen them 10 plus times. They keep getting better. Robert on Drums is a BEAST! Love this tune!

All time favorite Stryper song: Surrender All time favorite Stryper record: Soldiers Under Command Saw them one time in 1985 in their soldiers under command days. Bloodgood had been signed and had recorded their first record but it had not been released yet so we didn't know who they were. They ended up opening and were even better than Stryper live. Bloodgood records don't compare to how good they are live, or at least were. Definitely react to their song Surrender if you've never heard it. Very heavy and great dueling solos! Awesome new song! Their new album is coming out in October 2022. I've been a fan since 1983! The first time I saw them Kix opened for them. Their first three albums were bangers. Then they got soft and weird. I think they made a road to recovery with Murder by Pride and it has been all improvement with each album after that. Just got a couple new concert T-shirts so hopefully I will be raptured while wearing one of them!!

This vision in verses 14-20 is a preview of what is going to happen when Jesus returns at the end of the Tribulation. The harvesting of the grain symbolizes the harvesting of believers. The harvesting of the grapes symbolizes the harvesting of the wicked. When Jesus first came, he came as a sower. The seed He was sowing was the word of God. Jesus referred to the harvest as the end of the world. When the Son of Man returns at the end of the world there will be a final harvest. When it refers to grain it means it has been ripe (or dried) for a while. The implication is that God in His mercy delayed the final harvest until the last possible minute. Jesus will gather the saints when He comes but angels will gather the wicked. The reason the wicked are referred to as grapes, is because the way you harvest them is a great picture of what is going to happen to the wicked. An angel gathers the wicked and throws them into the winepress of God's wrath. The Son of Man tramples them until the blood flows over the entire nation of Israel. This is a preview of the battle of Armageddon.

Shane, I have been to two of Stryper's concerts here in Portland, Oregon. The first was at Benson High School, Soldiers Under Command Tour, the opening band was Bloodgood, a Seattle based Christian band. It was a pretty awesome show and loud! The second time was To Hell With The Devil Tour, I do not remember the place it was at for the life of me, lol. The opening band was Mistrust, another Seattle based band. The only album they released was entitled, Spin the World. They were awful, absolutely awful! They were even booed by the fans! I'm not sure who selected them to open for Stryper but know it wasn't Stryper! Thank you for coming out here and taking on Christian metal, there's alot of great bands! Bloodgood is one, unfortunately Michael Bloodgood the bassist and the drummer for Bloodgood have recently passed away so Les Carlson the lead vocalist has closed that book and is doing solo work now. Have you given a listen to Barren Cross, Whitecross and Sacred Warrior just to name a few? Have a great day!
