I hadn’t listened to Stryper a lot over the years(stupidly) but happen to watch the lyric video for Take It To The Cross before the release of God Damn Evil and I was blown away by the heaviness. It instantly started my Stryper journey, as soon as they announced a tour for that album I bought tickets .Oz Fox didn’t make it for those shows due to illness but man what a concert It was unbelievable so much so that when Michael announced that he was doing shows in Australia in support of his solo album Ten I didn’t hesitate to get tickets again and it also was unbelievable , I’ve never met a more personable musician and he hung around at the venue for ages and signed and had photos with everyone that wanted one.I am now a huge fan and you’re 100% right they’ve got better and heavier with every album which personally I love.I can’t wait for the new album to drop and from what I’ve heard it’s another gem.....cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 great review by the way 🤘🏽

One of the things I always loved about Rush was you often got 2-3 different songs in each song. I have been a Stryper fan since Yellow and Black Attack. Yahweh is my favorite Stryper song.

I'm new to your channel brother and loved it immediately! Your reviews are honest and from the heart. Stryper is so criminally underrated and underappreciated. They are one of the few bands that can still bring it and even more so in the present, than back in the day. Loved your review on "Yahweh". One of my favorite Stryper songs of all-time. What an epic track! You should check out "Pride", "The Valley" and/or "Sorry". Have you ever listened to any of Michael Sweet's solo releases? I have a song for you to check out from his newest solo album called "Ten" It came out around October of last year. Their is an epic song on their called, "Son of Man". It's a duet with Todd La Torre of Queensryche. An epic track. They are very good friends and Stryper has done some gigs with Queensryche. Queensryche is another one of my favorite bands. If Todd had not been able to commit to doing the song, Rob Halford, from yet another one of my all-time favorite bands, Judas Priest, could have done the duet with Michael as well. I look forward to future reactions. Be well my friend and keep rockin'!~ Cheers, Kevin (Wisconsin, USA) P.S. I thought of one more for you. They had an all covers (Except one original track) album called, "The Covering" and they do an amazing cover of Black Sabbath's, "Heaven and Hell". Ronnie James Dio would be proud of their version. That's how great it is. Just some suggestions for ya.

Thank you for the great comments my friend......so appreciated. I am a huge Stryper and Queensryche fan so have heard all the songs you are talking about, including the solo stuff. But I dont just do reactions, I do reviews as well like the Yahweh song. Some of Man is on my list, dont worry

Brother this is the review I was waiting for! When you said listen to this I got Fukn chills & I always do. You got it right again my brother. People need to hear this & this should be heard no matter the message. It’s their Harmonies that make it Stryper. Freakin amazing. People don’t even know they have new albums out. Try doing The Valley, Pride or Sympathy. Their vocals harmonies are 2nd to none like on Free. Great job brother. Glad I jumped in your channel. Keep it coming! Hope you don’t mind all my comments and suggestions🤘🏼🍺🤘🏼🍺🍺🍺

I will always remember the first time I heard this song. I have been a metal fan since 1984 and Stryper SUC was my first album. My boys and I are all guitar players because of metal. Two of my boys can really shred through Metallica, Megadeth, Stryper all because of the influence Stryper's music has had on me. But this song tops a lot of metal for me. By far the best song I have heard in the past 5 years outside of Maiden or Priest.

Best STRYPER song ever!! Not sure they will ever top this one but we shall see what this new album brings..if Blood From Above is any indication..they just might. I agree..these guys should be much bigger. They should be playing arenas and stadiums..not bars. They are so much more than that. Let us(the fans) support them and give them the recognition they deserve! Love live STRYPER!!

The look on your face is basically the same one I have on mine, listening to this epic, amazing, work of metal art! Everything about this song is peak Stryper and peak metal. I struggle just saying this is the best thing Stryper has ever done, because of my emotional connection with old Stryper, and my complete love of the song To Hell with the Devil (also epic), but yeah, if you look at it and listen to it as a metal song, it’s a different level from anything else in their catalogue. It’s the best thing they’ve ever done. I loved your review.

Cheers from South Carolina. Thank you for promoting these guys. I agree, it is CRIMINAL that they don't get the respect they deserve. There is no band in the Universe that can match their chops collectively as musicians. I have seen them 7 times since 1987 and they NEVER disappoint. I convinced a buddy who is more of an extreme metal guy to go with me in 2018. He always laughed when I spoke of Stryper but I bought his ticket and convinced him to go. They opened with "Yahweh" and followed with "The Valley". He just stood there with his jaw on the floor. Finally he was able to speak and said "THIS is not what I was expecting!" Fast forward to 2019: He bought his own ticket... I was looking forward to seeing my first Michael Sweet solo show in September, but it probably won't happen because of Covid. I just freaking love these guys and appreciate you putting them out there. Would love to share a beer with you and talk music. How 'bout reviewing "No More Hell To Pay", another of my recent favorites.

Stryper rules! The heavy parts are awesome. So well put together. If you like Change ups, you must check out Deliverance "Pseudo Intellectual." There is some stomping heavy parts that will blow your mind...Back in the late 80s Stryper, Bloodgood, and Deliverance produced quite a bonfire....

Saw them live for the first time in NC with two Bros from Church last year and was blown away! Best music is still coming from the sounds of the promo tracks of the new disk. If they weren't Christian... I've seen Clapton, Purple, Keaggy, King's X. They are as good, if not better, than all of these.

I'm right there with you, man. I dont understand why Stryper isn't bigger than they are. My best guess is because of the lyrical content. I know a few who won't give them the time of day because of that. Pretty short sighted in my opinion.

Michael's sound has a bit more top end on it. Oz is a bit more rounded and uses his whammy bar more. There are a few secrets to their guitar sound. One of the key ones is a huge mid boost (at least 20dB) around 750hz which gives the guitars a cut through the mix which is unique. This is the opposite of the mid scooped sound of Metallica for example. Because the mid-boost is in the lower mids it doesn't interfere with the upper mids of Mike's voice. They are up there with the very best twin guitar bands in the world. They are better now than in the 80's as they have kept honing their craft. Just like bands such as Dream Theater they have built their production skills into the band. If the band know what they are doing that makes a real difference as the vision for the overall sound and structure comes from the same place as the composition. Where external producers work really well they have to become part of the band like Martin Birch with Maiden or Mutt Lange with Def Leppard.

Life is Now (has a 70s metal vibe) , and One Of a Kind (theres one part they change up you probably will like it) If not i understand mate ;) HF gives people a smile atleast
