seriously difficult piece to prep. I did it with my teacher for my undergrad final recital and it was weeks of preparation before we performed it without any difficulties

I loved your internal pulse - you felt the time extremely well for two people. I don't think I've heard a version of this piece (and I've heard pretty much all of them now) where two people kept it pulsing forward any better than that.

for sure, the one you posted is pretty definitive, especially given that the composer wrote the piece for them, and dedicated it to them. Great players. I've come to be a big fan of Steven Verhelst, and find myself buying his charts on stevenherhelst.com whenever I can. My grandson and I have spent some happy hours working this piece - challenging and entertaining.

Raymond Fallon I agree - it's a very fun piece. It might have just been me listening to that version first that made me notice all the little mistakes in other players renditions.

At 66, I'm trying to teach myself to listen to the positive things that each performer accomplishes. Each of the versions I've listened to has something amazing to say for it. This is what KZbin does better than anyone.
