But I know somebody with an iPhone 7 with the same problem I'm assuming because they can't get their phone to turn on charge changed the battery still not working still won't turn on All the data on the phone gone. I am so happy I do not have anything Apple related.

He should use 3 1/8 thermal paper from office depot and place a piece of thermal paper on the board and a thin foam sheets on top of thethermal paper, about 1/8 thick and use the length need.then place piece of glass on top to add pressure ,1/4 inch thickness,cut to 4 by 6 inches. Then add the power start at 20 seconds and work your way up tell you see a image of the radiate heat from the short .

Freezespray is always so easy to find a short, but yours wasn't really freezing. And i also use airduster to do it, because its a hell of a lot cheaper to get here. your board should look like there is snow everywhere.

Thank u! It's much much brighter here. Aside from being a newer structure than before, I get a lot of sunlight coming in. The sunlight mixed with fake light can be a challenge for recording tho.

This one is 7-45x. I couldn't imagine needing more than 45x for anything phone related. 45x seems to be plenty for even long screw damage repair.

Hello, no idea where to contact you so i'll do it here. I've got à problem with my iPhone 6 plus and please, help! Let me explain : I can not run it, when i try to charge it it goes in an infinite boot loop, when i plugged it into the PC to try to fix it with iTunes (in DFU Mode), all was good until it disconnects itself while trying to switch to recovery mode.. Impossible to run it without plugging it to charge (+it goes in an infinite boot loop) What should i do? Open it.. check battery & connections ? Thanks & awesome content !

STS Telecom I use Liqui Moly -40°C freeze spray and it works realy great and last long so you have time to connect the power and see what's heating up befpre the spray evaporates :D

Hello STS telecom! ! This is abit of a "please bro" I know, but please hear me out, I'm trying to repair my little sisters iPhone 7, I found that there was a direct short on the main power line to ground, injected current, and found that a capacitor was getting really hot, I removed it and the short cleared, I now have 95 000 ohms between the main power rail and ground, I plugged the phone into the charger and USB amp meter and found it was drawing a very constant half an amp, I took the board back out and found that most of the capacitors next to the power management ic, ( there's 12 rows of 3 caps) were all shorted to ground, apart from one of the rows of 3 in the middle. I noticed that these rows of caps are running on 4 separate power lines, and they are shorted, one line is shorted to ground at 15 ohms, one at 21 ohms, one at 22ohms and one at 60 ohms, I noticed also all these caps and power lines were common on the power management ic, so I'm guessing they are different voltage outputs? And the fact that they are all shorted, would that point to it being the power management ic? I obviously want to avoid attempting to change it if there's any chance it isn't that that's the problem, although I have ordered a replacement power ic.. Please any help would be greatly appreciated, iv never worked on a phone before but iv got half a brain, I also have the board view software but I don't think it's one were you can see the lists of power rails it just tells you what the components are and where they go to. This is a great video. I have watched most of your videos so I do know how busy you are and I wish you good luck getting the family all settled in to the new home. It will just take time! Please could it be possible to make another video just like this but for those new to phone logic board repair. Aimed at fault diagnosis and finding shorts on IPhone 7 & 7 Plus for beginners. You are by far the most understandable KZbinr of explaining what they are doing but I still need more explanation and maybe a guide or steps to follow for trouble shooting and short finding. I think there are already good videos explaining basics like Ohms law but for phone repair it seems to be all just screen changing etc and then a huge jump to advanced stuff with jumpers. You are the man. Please do a more in depth version of this video aimed at beginners as if I am ever to get my head around this I think you are my best chance!

Thanks. I would have a hard time finding this one in my purchase history but, the way I found it --- The microscope came with the slider adapter thing that hooks to the microscope head. I measured the hole on the adapter my scope came with & the hole on the camera, then searched for an adapter that had the same sizes... I think I'm lucky to have gotten it on the first try. Honestly, I like the setup that Paul Daniels is using much better. I think his adapter is 0.75x but the whole setup makes his camera sit nearly flat on the microscope head. It doesn't stand up like a "rooster tail" as he calls it. :-)
