Love it. Another stocking filler sorted. For the eyes I will use buttons but will only sew through one layer but to add strength I put a small bit of wadding behind each button and sew through fabric and wadding. That way all thread ends are hidden - just a thought. Keep the videos coming they are really practical.

Thanks. So cute. On my list to make. Love your ideas. Plan on making the AccuQuilt quilt from the 12” use and companion set as soon as I get all the baby quilts, baby embroidery shirts, birthday outfits done.

I made one of these before from another tutorial. It was so much more convoluted and I didn’t end up with a great looking result. I use it myself, for my earbuds, but would never gift it. With your tutorial I think I will make one for each of my grandsons for their earbuds. Of course I will use sports fabric. I appreciate how easy you make your tutorials to follow & you always have such great tips! Thanks! I find my iron works better for me when I plug it in too! 🙂 (edited to correct a misspelled word)

For decades I’ve avoided putting zippers into garments I’ve made until recently when my mother sat down with me and side by side on our machines and walked me through the process. Then she loaned me a really great book of hers called Sewing Secrets of the Fashion Industry that contains step by step instructions with color photos of various methods of putting in zippers and I’ve successfully put in a lapped zipper and a centered zipper on my own on scrap fabric, but I did it. Only took me till the age of 49 to learn it.

Only one problem, or question, but really so cute, and terrific instructions as always. I’ve made several of your spectacle cases and just now made this coin purse. It seems, tho, when putting together the back with the batting is larger than the front with then zip, because the front pieces had been folded and sewn to the zip. Should we force fit or trim pieces to fit? I did a little of each. Would send photo but don’t see how in these comments.
