Stuart Clayton ah no worries! Louis Johnson, Jon Myung would be good shouts I think. I do listen to a lot of progressive metal bassists, particularly James Leech (SikTh), Dan Briggs (Between The Buried & Me) and Evan Brewer (The Faceless/Entheos). Maybe a feature on those sort of players, would love to see that! One more question, any tips on pop triplets? I tend to struggle with building up melody ideas and plucking alternations on that topic, any help I can get is much appreciated!

Thanks! It's the bass recorded through an Apogee Duet, with some compression and subtle EQ applied digitally in Logic! The tone is really in the bass, and the way it's played/note choices. Hope that helps!
