Wow. I've never seen a ship like that underwater before. Liz and Stewart are interesting watching diving around it. Maybe same other people from a live educational & informative show.

The only reason why why I clicked on this vid was so I could watch this ship sink

Did they drain all the fluids and fuel from the engine and tanks first? What about other harmful materials such as asbestos, lead or other nasty stuff?
@nunyabitnezz27092 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think they have to.

That's s shame to sink this one in perfect working order. It even had good paint and a nice interior. These aren't like ships that sink due to accidents and aren't prepped ahead of time for safe diving. Sp many people dive on the Andrea Doria. I wouldn't get anywhere near it.

I believe once a piece of equipment is written off against taxes it is pretty much done for. This was a case of laziness on the part of the owner. There are many scrap yards that would take his ship at scrap prices. It is a booming business.

It's better for the environment because it creates a home for fishes

You can see the ship's original name embossed into her side and covered over: Georgetown.
@fredackrill5 жыл бұрын
Old comment and video I know. However Georgetown would not be the boat’s name but it’s port of registration.
@ronaldrobertson23324 жыл бұрын
That's where the ship was from, its port of origin.

Why didn’t you show the sinking as implied in the title? The video goes from floating to sunk. It’s an honest question; I’m not trying to be a jerk. 🙂

To sink a perfectly working vessel only to keep if out of the hands of potential competitors, is asinine! What kind of a fool does this?

I kinda think it’s a waste to sink a perfectly good ship and not want to sell it to anybody. That’s kinda spiteful as well
@hevendor9584 жыл бұрын
no your actually wrong the ship isn't really a waste it was sunken as a reef for new homes for fishes

Did you sink a ship that can sail with its own power? Wtf. Take the engine and all the electrical shit out before you sink her, this is just lazy
