Someone told me a long time ago, "It takes 30 to 90 seconds, after starting the dreaded dead, to be enough into it that you'll actually finish the task". This works well for me.

I have been in a constant state of Overwhelm, for many years..... and it has felt like it gets worse and worse, every day.... but lately, I have been doing much better at decluttering and it IS helping me with the intensity of my Feeling Overwhelmed. anyway, thank you for this video. 😊👍

Love your videos! 🥰 I can get so stuck in my head (between ADHD and perfectionism) that it paralyzes any progress. 🤯 It’s so nice to know I’m not alone in the struggle. Thank you from Florida

I don't use planners or to-do lists because they have the opposite effect on me. They're supposed to help with productivity but I use them to procrastinate about doing things, I rebel against them (I don't like structure for some reason), and then I end up feeling like a failure when I don't accomplish all the things. It's a really stupid battle with myself so I moved on from that strategy and just take a gentle and natural approach to decluttering and cleaning. Habit stacking is my new best friend. For me, it's all about pairing a task with something I'm already standing up to do as part of my usual routines. I like that you added standing up as the first step because that can be the biggest hurdle to getting started!

This is totally off the subject of your video, but I think you're gorgeous. More to the point, I really needed to hear this today. I feel a lot less discouraged and a great deal more capable than I did before I watched it. Thank you for sharing it with us.
