Even with the frustrations you all seem much more relaxed as the journey goes along! And I love seeing what they have in the different grocery stores and seeing the prices!

Managing water and energy is a discipline most folks don’t even think of. Good lesson for folks interested in a boat or rv lifestyle. Enjoy your passage, hope you have great weather.

You Guys should really look into more Solar and more Batteries before you head to Panama and beyond. You seem to be equipped for Carribian Cruising, but longer passages are going to be tough, especially if you have a few days of blow in a row.

It's all about management. We can also charge via alternators and a huge 9kw generator. It's actually awesome to manage power usage. It's like a game now 😁

You probably already know that but your Starlink uses about 400w. You can setup the app so it goes to sleep at a certain time and comes back online as you configure it. Cheers!

Starlink is definitely a consumer of power. And yes it gets put to sleep or turned off to conserve power.

Go the Rocna. Best anchor in my opinion. Don't know if true or not, but I was advised by a nautical person that when going from forward to reverse or visa versa, bring gear stick back to neutral for a moment between gear changes otherwise you could damage your gearbox by doing it all too quickly. Maybe the owners manual would advise best practice, or google. You guys have an amazing adventure coming up and it will be a pleasure to follow along for the ride. 😎

You are correct. You should momentarily stop in neutral when shifting.

Wow, really? Click bait? You don't need that! Real cats will either watch your channel or not, but click bait like that will only draw in loosers that only live by the shock and awe click bait with no substance, then leave for good because your click bait wasn't what you eluded it was about. You don't need that or them. You got this! Just keep your story going and when they come, they will want to stay and follow you on your journey and those long term followers will help support your channel. BTW, hope your daughter is on a better foot now. They go through that, ya know.

We didn't feel the thumbnail was click bait - I actually left. You have to have an enticing thumbnail or you won't get views. I see click bait as something that didn't really happen or T&A. Sorry you felt that way but that is not what we were striving for. Thank you for your insight and watching! And yes, our daughter is doing much better now that she knows we are only a flight away.

@@SailingParadiseFalls "enticing" is a relative word. Entice the right people would take thoughful planning I'm sure, but things like drama or T&A only brings in the wrong audience and you have to ask yourself "is this what I'm trying to do?" Many people will say no to that and their channel grows on merit, the story, the journey and the adventure of it all, not drama or T&A. You do you, not what you think you need to drag viewers into your world. Your story is enough to bring in the right people that will want to come into that story, stay, subscribe and follow. But that's just this cat's opinion. 😼

Wow guys so few pictures you took of Marsh Harbor looks like it's getting back to its old South after it got wiped clean by the hurricane and Maxwell's is open I love Maxwell's it's one of the best markets it always has everything it's such a nice town Marsh Harbor the people well he used to be wonderful I don't know after the hurricane of it messed up the vibe but hopefully it didn't

We really did not find a whole lot to do in Marsh Harbor during the time we were there. A lot of our time was stuck on the boat for the high winds. Maxwells was AMAZING and very happy to see the growth since the hurricane. Thank you for watching!

Toilet hoses just calcify., we remove them 1x per 9-12 months and hit them against the road or such, the calcium then breaks, and we can go for another year .... make sure you have a spare

beats hanging over baord. We flush old cooking /frying oil through our toilets 1x a week or so, that keeps the pump go smooth and service level to a minimum. (but keep in mind its 36C here every day. Dont do it at low temperatures.@@SailingParadiseFalls

See link. 2 double blocks, a single block for our boat. Some folks need an attachment point as well near the winch.

I watched the video thanks one last question my current set up is a single line that terminates on the other side of the roof underside from the winch. When you go to double blocks it looks like you terminate inside the winch compartment. What did you terminate too? Thanks @@SailingParadiseFalls

I would look into running a dedicated run for things like your fridge and freezer. Also, built in USB chargers are great though switched.

Fridge is on its own DC switch. We have a Dometic as well that can be AC or DC.

I have a question I notice you guys have a center console dink with what looks like a 30 hp outboard. Can you tell me the total weight for your dink. Have you had any issues lifting it since the weight limit is 440 lbs. i am looking at getting a center console dink but concerned about the weight. Thanks
@SailingParadiseFalls
@SailingParadiseFalls 7 ай бұрын
The weight of the dingy is around 470lbs. Rob doubled the purchase on the winch which increased the lifting capacity. We have not had any problems. The Tohatsu 30hp weighs the same as the Yamaha 25hp. We love it!
